The journey in ARIA may be over for a lot of us, but it’s definitely a new beginning for many to come. This is something that I was hoping for and it’s finally here. ARIA has been licensed. Of course it’s not just the first season, ARIA The Animation, but it includes ARIA The Natural, ARIA The OVA ~Arietta~, and the third season ARIA The Origination. Oh happy days~~
One of the bets things about the news of this release is that TRSI will be releasing this as a complete boxset rather than individual volumes but as well as only having Japanese audio track and English subtitles. I must say this is certainly good news as I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to handle hearing an English dub of my all time favourite series. The first boxset will be released in September 2008, luckily it’s after my Japan trip, but now that I know there is a US release inbound, it makes me wonder if I should still buy the Japanese DVDs.
So once again, I shall make the trip to Neo-Venezia this year, thank you TRSI and Nozomi Entertainment.

Being a long time Kanon fan, it certainly has brought me a long way in my otaku lifestyle, but for a long long time I have waited for Kanon figures to come out and that was answered back when Kotobukiya released Ayu and Nayuki. However there was something missing from these figures that make them outstanding, something that makes them really special enough to rock my burning passion for anything Kanon. That is of course until the arrival of Kyoto Animation version of Kanon is where it really kicked off, and along came Max Factory to bring us Tsukimiya Ayu. Hit the jump to check out the rest of the photos.

Its time for summer vacation, but unfortunately for Kotoko, she has supplementary classes. I can only imagine the pain of having to attend school during your holidays since nothing like that happens here in Australia, well as far as I’m aware. Anyway its not all that surprising to see Kotoko and friends, or what seems like almost the entire F-class attending supplementary classes, as it goes how pretty dense some people can be, and it seems Yuuki thought this was a prime time to do his summer vacation diary thingy to cover the epic stupidity of Kotoko.

There is rarely a time where I’m sitting here watching an anime series that makes me turn into some kind of moé blob. Though with this episode, I’d say I was about halfway there. After last episode’s surprise detour to Anzu’s route, we’re once back on track with the Asakura sisters but this time we’re focused on Otome. Already we’re looking into the past and promises that were made so I can only think that we’re definitely heading into Otome’s story first.

Well it’s the long weekend for me here in Australia, and it’s a prime time to do some catch up on the backlog of figures. So I hope I can get through a lot of them in the next few days. This figure would have to be one of the most anticipated figures for 2007 after seeing the promotion pictures for it. Of course this figure is a big welcome to my ever-growing ARIA merchandise kingdom but by far would have to be one of the best items out of them all. So hit the jump to check out more photos for Max Factory’s Alicia Florence.

So Lala is now finally attending school with Rito, but her introduction into the school was certainly short lived this episode as we rushed through most of the events pretty quickly. But hey, there was plenty of humour though right now it’s more of a “hehehe” than say a “hahaha” and the only thing that keeps this show enjoyable is the fanservice. Not that it’s a bad thing, and at least it’s more tasteful than Kanokon.

Even after 3 episodes this series is definitely becoming a favourite for this season as there is plenty of humour, but plenty of development as well. Though I’m surprised to see an event like the sports event so early into the series as I thought they would make some kind of wager during the event or something like that. Still plenty of laughs mainly from all of Kotoko’s reactions and how ironic that her scavenger hunt item was the person she loves. But the best moment would have to go to her crashing into Kin-chan during the relay race.
