One of the greatest things I consider about being an otaku is making a trip to Japan and living it up in terms of spending, eating and seeing the sites. Last time I got to goto Comiket69 and that was a surreal experience. This EPIC trip also includes Comiket74 but take that one extra step further. We decided to head to Summer Wonderfest 2008. Many have seen photos of all the figures and resin kits that are available but don’t actually know what it’s like to be there. Well hit the jump to read on more about my experience of Summer Wonderfest 2008

After a mediocre night worth of sleep (roughly 3 hours) The first place on the agenda is none other than the Holy Land of Otakuism, Akihabara. This probably comes as no surprise as I’m sure most people would hit up Akiba first just to see what kind of things there are. Personally for me I already know most of the main street stores but I never got around to exploring the regions furthest from the station or any of the hidden alley stores. This time around it was pretty much the same thing, except I slowly went through some of the stores and some new ones I didn’t get to encounter. Hit the jump to read on for my first round to Akihabara.

It has been a long 7 days but I have finally reached the end. No.7 of the 7 figures over 7 days series and it certainly has been quite a challenge to me as well. Not to mention I’ve lost a few good hours of sleep in the last two days. So let’s end this series with another quality figure brought to us by Good Smile Company, and is probably my best photo shoot for this whole series. So hit the jump to check out more photos of Mabinogi’s Succubus.

Wow, No.6 of the 7 figures in 7 days series. I really can’t believe that I’ve made it this far, but one thing for sure, I’ve lost some sleep over the past few days, lol. Since we’re drawing close towards the end of the 7 days I figured I should at least do a group one together. It also means I can slash through the pile in another big hit. Many of you have probably been missing ARIA ever since it finished. But fear not for I shall now present to you MegaHouse’s ARIA Punit Collection.

Taking a small break from the 7 figures over 7 days series, is just an update with some last preparations for my Japan trip. One of the main reasons for me going back to Japan is because of the whole otakudom, but the second reason is photography. My last trip to Japan had my taking along a very outdated Sony Cybershot camera that didn’t work out all that well. But now that I have more money and a shiny camera, it’s time to head back with no bars.

Still on a roll, No.5 of 7 figures over 7 days. This time we take a trip to the other side of my fandom for moé which is the Visual Arts/Key side of things, but the focus for this post is Clannad. It’s been a while since they released any Clannad figures (the last one I bought was like 2-3 years ago) but with the recent success to the Clannad anime series, it has sparked an influx of merchandise. Well here’s one of them and it’s none other than Kotobukiya’s Ibuki Fuko. Hit the jump to check out more.

Just over halfway through 7 figures over 7 days, and it’s actually time to take step back to 2007. This is one figure I’ve been meaning to take photos off for a LONG time and this post will finish off all the figures I purchased for 2007. So hit the jump to check out photos of what I consider to be the best female character of 2007, Solid Works Shihou Matsuri.
