Ah yes it’s that time of the year again, where one celebrates the coming to this world, or simply another year closer to cheaper car insurance. Yep, today I am now 24 years old, so Happy Birthday me! A lot has certainly happened over the one year since my last birthday but I don’t feel any different. Though my wallet says otherwise in good and bad ways.

Though I’d also like to give a small update on the status of the blog. Recently I’ve been rather busy at work hence the lack of posts over the past month since I came back from Japan. The current anime season has already started and I won’t be covering any of the shows. Well not that it matters since most people don’t read those posts, lol. Actually I’m at a loss at whether I want to continue blogging anime so for now I won’t do so.
My Japan will still come and I’m nearing finishing writing up the next one, and yes I will get around to writing the loot post as I’m sure a lot of you want to know what I bought. I’ve gone through most of it and taken photos of it all. So that’s it for now, so hopefully you’ll all keep reading Moé Moé Rabu.

At this point in the trip, it’s only a few days left until Comiket74. Normally I would rest up in preparation for such an event, but not for me. It was time for another long trip to the middle of nowhere, but this time Rin from Koi Aichaku and friend tagging along as well as my friend ACQ. Our destination? Washinomiya Shrine, home of the Hiiragi sisters from Lucky Star. Hit the jump to check out how the trip went as well as check out a short day in Shibuya for me.

One of the things that I didn’t get to do in Kyoto last time I was here was head out to many of the wondrous locations that Kyoto is famous for. Day 2 of the Kyoto experience took us south towards Nara. So hit the jump to read on about my 2nd day in Kyoto.

Just to let some of you readers know, the last few posts have been ones that I had wrote up about a week ago and I am actually in Tokyo right now. Anyway this post is just an update on the merchandise that I have bought for Comiket74 that had just past.

This pile of loot is only a small portion of the things that I bought. I had placed bags within bags in order to carry less bags and to save space in the actual hotel room. Also not everything is displayed in this photo. But at least this gives you a small preview of what I bought. But here are some highlights of my Comiket74 experience:
- Friday I lined up at 6am with friends.
- Saturday was the hottest day of them all.
- CalorieMates are terrible.
- Gaijin teleporting is the way to go.
- Sunday I lined up at 6am, but went solo (thankfully it was an overcast day).
- I waited in Nanao Naru’s line for 1 hour and 10 mins, then got jipped from special items as I was only 20 people from actually acquiring it.
- Since I got jipped, I bought two copies of Nanao Naru’s latest work to make the wait worth it.
- I bought quite a bit of ero-doujins on a non-ero day.
- My feet aren’t dead compared to Wonderfest.
- And I spent about ¥174,200 total expenditure on goods and doujins over the three days (if my calculations are correct).
Although this is all a preview, the merchandise post won’t come until I get back to Australia as most of the items were shipped back today. I won’t bother writing post about Comiket itself as I didn’t take that many pictures. Nor did I take photos of cosplayers. But check out coverage by others who attended:

One of the things about coming to Osaka was to check out some of the sites, and one of the places I wanted to visit was Osaka Castle. This was our next place to stop by for Osaka as I really didn’t get time to plan out an itinerary for Osaka since I knew so little about it. Anyway hit the jump to read on about our final day in Osaka.

The second day of Osaka was certainly one of my more expensive days to date and for many reasons. For me one of the places I wanted to visit in Osaka was the main Volks store. The reason for me wanting to visit the main Volks store was that I wanted to see what dollfies they had available compared to the branch store in Akiba. So now that we know our bearings and how far the actual stations are, we headed off to Ebisu-cho, Osaka’s answer to Akiba. Hit the jump to read on.
