Boxes are f***ing awesome. You can do so many different things like build a play fortress, use it to sneak around like Solid Snake, create a Danbo, use it as a pedestal, use it as a desk, anything. But there will always be one purpose for boxes and that’s to store items. But in situation of an otaku, it’s a package to have your precious merchandise mailed to you, and with Supnova Sydney 2008, that’s no exception. Many may have remembered from my Animania 2007 merchandise post that I spent a good $1000 AUD, this time it has gone beyond that. So hit the jump to check out what’s in the box.

Supanova Sydney 2008 - Sunday Part 1

So after a rather eventful Supanova Saturday, it was a mission to make it to the Sunday. I got back home around 1am and spent an hour or two working on the photos from the Saturday until I couldn’t see the screen anymore. So with my equipment reorganised, lasting on about 3-4 hours of sleep, a drinking only a can of V, and having a significantly lighter wallet I made my way once again to Olympic Park. Supanova Sydney 2008 - Saturday Part 1

It’s that time of the year again where fans of pop-culture converge into one place to enjoy a day with other fans of pop-culture. Yep it’s Supanova Sydney 2008 so it was time to head down to The Dome at Sydney Olympic Park armed with camera gear, Moé Moé Rabu business cards, and a wallet fat full of gold. Though I didn’t actually arrive to the convention until midday since I had some earlier business to deal with in regards to my Japan trip, but upon stepping through the doors after paying my $20 admission ticket, the place was packed. I swear Supanova must get larger each year, or I keep forgetting how many people attend each time. Before combining the camera gear together, I had a walk around with fellow friend Roobar to see what was there and to say hello to various friends and associates. WARNING: Picture intensive post.

Mini-Animania Sydney 2008

It’s been 2 years since I last went to a Mini-Animania Sydney event, and back then I wasn’t too impressed. But this time around I figured it was time to head back and see if anything has changed in those two years, plus I have money to attend compared to last year, lol. So armed with the shiny camera, not so much cash, and deprived of sleep because of work, I headed down to the city to see how things would turn out. So hit the jump to check out photos and my overall impressions. WARNING: Picture intensive post.

Autosalon Final Battle 2007 Part 3

Finally, the last set of photos from a whopping 160 photos. Just as I was reaching the end of the exhibition hall, I came closer to the Centre Stage, where they had already started the “Miss Autosalon” competition. I just caught it as they were going through the swimsuit part of it. But damn it sucks to be short, couldn’t get a decent shot. So hit the jump to check out the last set of photos. WARNING: Picture intensive post.
