Finally we’re introduced to another character in this series. Saki is the typical ojou-sama figure in the series but I must vertainly say, she seems more reserved than I thought she would be. Personally I thought she would be a bit more wicked when she got angry, but with Kawasumi Ayako as the voice, I can’t really imagine her voicing some wicked. Being sly I can see it, but wicked, not at all. But she certainly has played the role well but it’s a shame Saki doesn’t appear all that often in the series.

Throughout the first half of this episode, I thought we’d get something pretty standard where girls learns to cook for her loved one. But if anything, this episode taught me not to expect anything from this series as it dropped an absolute bombshell, and not in a good way. Seriously just as I thought Lala was going to make something for Rito, 3D octopus aliens! Of course given that this series focus is fanservice, I could see what was coming and I just sat here going through whilst diverting my attention to other things until the ending credits.

So Lala is now finally attending school with Rito, but her introduction into the school was certainly short lived this episode as we rushed through most of the events pretty quickly. But hey, there was plenty of humour though right now it’s more of a “hehehe” than say a “hahaha” and the only thing that keeps this show enjoyable is the fanservice. Not that it’s a bad thing, and at least it’s more tasteful than Kanokon.

For some very strange reason the second episode feels a lot different to the first one, and I’m not sure why that is. It may just be the voices of the characters as I’m probably not used to it yet, or either I’ve been watching too much lately, lol. Anyway I enjoyed the second episode as much as the first but I can only say one thing, Mikan is the best girl so far. Knowing her dear brother so well as to warn him not to do anything stupid, but also knows that he doesn’t have the guts to carry out such actions is even better. Shame she doesn’t appear all that much in the manga. Continue reading ‘To Love-Ru - 02′

Opening Sequence:
OP: “forever we can make it!” by THYME
A very colourful OP sequence that covers all the girls in the To Love-Ru series and some Lala fanservice shots through into the mix, but I do like the opening theme as it’s quite catchy. Definitely prefer this over the Ed sequence and ending theme.
