Being a long time Kanon fan, it certainly has brought me a long way in my otaku lifestyle, but for a long long time I have waited for Kanon figures to come out and that was answered back when Kotobukiya released Ayu and Nayuki. However there was something missing from these figures that make them outstanding, something that makes them really special enough to rock my burning passion for anything Kanon. That is of course until the arrival of Kyoto Animation version of Kanon is where it really kicked off, and along came Max Factory to bring us Tsukimiya Ayu. Not sure if this is old news, but I recently saw this dub clip of Kanon 2006. From the sound of it, the dub just doesn’t cut it. In fact it tarnishes my love for Nayuki as she doesn’t sounds very cute, or sleepy. Ayu on the other hand sounds more like a brat, and oh god the uguu, all I can say is…uguu~~~ Still, with the first volume to be released on the 1st Jan 2008, I find it unexpectingly quick. Still, I’ll probably end up purchasing the DVDs at some point, but with the whole Xmas shopping, it won’t be for a few weeks maybe. Anyway, check out the dub below:

Ah yes, the final volume. It’s nice to know that for a 24 episode series, it’s only 8 DVDs. Recently I think Japanese DVDs have been getting more episodes and more material unlike when I was purchasing the Japanese DVDS of AIR TV. 13 episodes over the span of 6 DVDs. But at last, I’ve reached the end of the road for my Kanon DVD collection, and with Kanon licensed for an English release…..God damn it.

Funny with this, I totally forgot to order it before the release date as I was too swamped with work to remember to do most things. A package arrived this morning just before heading to work, and it was none other than the Kanon Visual Memories that was mentioned in Kanon DVD Volume 6. Being a Kanon-fanatic I couldn’t pass this up and luckily I had the funds to buy this. Of course the funds isn’t from my new job, I’m saving that money for something better. Anyway here are some pictures of what’s inside.

A bit late with this. After the photography shoot on Saturday, I completely forgot about this but luckily I left it sitting around and managed to get the cover flat. Of course there is still the slight crease but less than normally. This volume covers Shiori, though not exactly my favourite character in Kanon, but this cover of her is still nice. Gotta love express shipping for it to arrive this fast. This got shipped on the Tuesday night/Wednesday morning an it arrived at my door step Friday morning. But anyway, here is Volume 5 of Kanon. Reason this wasn’t done last month was that I didn’t have money to buy it then. But at least I got Volume 6 at the same time, and I save a bit on shipping.
