Hayate no Gotoku! - 42

Wow it certainly his been a long time since the last Hayate no Gotoku episode (subbed that is) so it’s pleasure being able to watch another episode. This episode is focused on Nagi trying to find Hayate’s weakness, with many laughs along the way. Really, with the amount of things that Hayate would have gone through in his entire life there would really be no weaknesses at all. But of course sweet Maria is able to hit the nail on the head and realises Hayate’s weakness. For me I would say his weakness would be money since he can never get a good grasp on it. But then that’s also just his bad luck.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 41

You know that any episode with Hinagiku in it just makes it all the more awesome, but when it comes to the Katsura sisters, it makes it more so. I actually didn’t expect to see an episode focused on the Katsura sisters this late in the series, but probably for the best as I can imagine the last few episodes will be used to wrap up the series. Anyway, I’ve usually viewed Yukiji as more of a side character, but a more annoying one at that, but after this episode, I’ve come to slightly like her a bit more.

Opening Sequence 2:

OP2: “Shichiten Hakki*Shijō Shugi” by KOTOKO

Still the same OP theme, but there has been some small changes to the OP sequence like showing the true forms of the Superintendant and Shion, but as well as include Himegami. A shame really as I was kind of hoping for a new OP, but tgis one is still good.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 39

If there is anything I could say about this episode, it would be this: EPIC! Really there hasn’t been a Hayate no Gotoku episode at all that could match this level of such awesomeness and this is easily the best episode out of the entire series so far. The whole build up towards this was a big let down, but that’s all in the past and it was all for this moment. But the thing that made this such an awesome episode was mainly the references that were used like every other episode, but this time around it was Gurren-Lagann. I really didn’t expect that since I saw the elevator shaft from Evangelion, but only to have the Gurren-Lagann appear.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 38

With the recent build up from the Butler Battles, I was hoping that it would come to some kind of awesome development for Hayate no Gotoku, and form this episode, it seems that we’re in for a treat. Well I’m hoping so. Anyway it has been a year since Nagi and Hayate first met, but there appears to be more than meets the eye with many hidden factors still yet to be revealed. Mikado’s reappearance and hounding of Hayate is no different, but I get the sense that he wants to make something of of Hayate, and I’m rather surprised we haven’t seen the pendant for a number of episodes.

What’s this? An episode where Hayate has less screen time than the other characters? Well even the main character deserves a break now and then, but also it goes to show that a series can still be enjoyable without the main character. So this episode mainly focuses on Nagi trying to find out what being normal is about, and with most of the other characters around her being rather unique in their individual ways, there is only one other person that can show her the way. Nishizawa Ayumu.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 36

Just like last episode, this episode focuses on a specific character that hasn’t had, and it’s none other than Klaus. Now I wouldn’t say that Klaus is a favourite character of mine, but he does add a good dose of humour to the show with the random bits he had throughout the series so far, but for an episode to be focused on him can turn out pretty good as well. Of course the cause of all this humour started with Tama, another character who hasn’t had much screen time either.
