COSPA’s Katsura Hinagiku towel

Well it’s been getting rather cold lately. I could wrap myself up in a blanket and drink some hot coffee, or hot tea. Heck alcoholic beverages is also an option. But I think I’m probably better off wrapping myself with a Hinagiku towel and let my BURNING PASSION for all things moé keep me warm.

This actually arrived about a month and a half ago and it was sitting on the very top of the pile of forever growing loot. Since Hayate no Gotoku had finished a few months ago, I needed something to fill in the empty gap, and not to mention I needed more Hinagiku, so this was the next best thing.

It’s rather funny how I keep buying these kind of things even though I don’t have the wall space to hang them up. One day I will, one day. Surprisingly enough you can still buy one at HLJ for only ¥4800.

But choosing between this and the Nanaka towel would definitely be a tough choice. Deep down though I know the answer would be Nanaka for sure.

Hayate no Gotoku! Eyecatches

With the end of Hayate no Gotoku season 1, I figured it would be nice to do the exact same thing I did for Bamboo Blade and release all the eyecatches for episodes 1-51. Just like Bamboo Blade, these are screen capped from the 720p raws, but since there were so many I didn’t bother editing any of them, so they’ll come as is.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 52

With this being the last episode of Hayate no Gotoku, I had no idea what to expect as the ending of episode 51 ended on a pretty good note. But once again, the series has proved to go beyond my expectations and delivered an episode that places a smile on my face at the end of it. This episode we have Hayate, Nagi, and Maria off in Greece taking a holiday and Hayate tries to convince Nagi to play outside. Of course Nagi being Nagi, she eventually agrees to do so and this sets it up for the plot this episode.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 51

This episode reminds me why we all loved Hayate no Gotoku from the start of the series, and that is Hayate getting into all sorts of problems and seeing his uncanny abilities to scrape through them. It’s kind of good that they brought back in the plot that Hayate has the 150 million yen debt as it certainly seems that we’ve forgotten about it throughout the series as well as bring back the pendant that Hayate received from Mikaido. Though I don’t find it surprising how it was Mikaido testing Hayate with his loyalty to Nagi and I’m sure that part of the story will continue one day.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 50

So we’re finally back to the usual zany antics that happen in Hayate no Gotoku and this episode is another Nagi and Ayumu pairing. I’ve mentioned before that I liked episode featuring Nagi and Ayumu and this is no exception. Both show their strengths and weaknesses in this contest as well as their rivalry for Hayate’s heart, but what I like best about these types of episodes is that it also shows that they can be good friends as well.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 49

Wow, it’s been close to an entire month since I last watched an episode of Hayate no Gotoku. The funniest yet weirdest thing before this episode was released I actually had an anime dream that I was Hayate. Call me crazy but it was probably a premonition that an episode was going to be released. Oh how I live a sad life. So after an astounding episode last time with all-time favourite Hinagiku, it was time to shift focus to other characters so this time it’s Risa, Miki, and Izumi. I’m actually surprised I remembered their names given that they hardly have any screen time.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 48

Really, ever since the introduction of Hinagiku to the Hayate no Gotoku serie, this has to be the one episode that we’ve all been waiting form and just like the title of this episode, it was full of Hina Love. Hinagiku I’ve always seen as one of he best characters of the series yet she somehow switches a lot between background character and main line yet it happens in such a way that there is enough to make the fanboys go crazy. Though when Hinagiku becomes the focus of the episode, it’s a totally different ball game. Not to mention I’ve actually watched this episode 3 times already (once from screen capping and twice subbed).
