Finally we get to find out Najimi’s rival’s name, which is Nidou Kaneru, but other than that she really is just a normal person, and that’s all we see in this episode. But at least it does reflect somewhat on the life of a doujin artist. Many doujin artists have primary jobs and draw doujins as a hobby because they enjoy doing it, very much like me having this blog of mine.

Misinterpretation is always a humour point in anime, and so it continues on throughout the episode with Justice’s ever so watchful eye over Najimi. But of course Tsuyuri is there to fan the flames and make Justice delve deeper into his own little world. Thus this entire episode surrounds Justice and his somewhat deluded beliefs of Najimi going to a love hotel with Hoshi.

Happy over selling her first copy of her doujin, Najimi comes to terms of the downside of being a doujinshi artist, the printing fees. So what better way to pay that off than working. Or more specifically working in a neko maid cafe. Definitely something different out of Najimi’s character for her to choose to work in a neko maid cafe, but it’s a sign of how much more she is getting into the otaku world. Heck it would seem almost similar to Nagi getting “life experience” by working as a maid in Hayate no Gotoku ep 17.

So Najimi has finally created her first erotic doujinshi, thinking she’ll be making millions. I wish the world would work like that, lol. But like everyone starting from somewhere, it turns out to be pretty crap, and her good friends Tsuyuri and Justice just couldn’t bring themselves to tell her. Though honestly, just from looking at the front cover, I wouldn’t be able to tell if it was an erotic doujinshi or not. However from my experience at Comiket, you can never judge a book by it’s cover.

For an episode that goes for 15 minutes, some reason this felt a little longer than it did. Although unlike the first episode, I didn’t this as funny as it would be since it reuses a lot of jokes that we’ve seen in other anime series, but the best part was Tsuyuri going “Oujou-san, you dropped some porn”. But seeing Najimi taking her first steps into the doujin world somewhat reminds me of myself, lol, but of course not to that extreme.
