Over the course of the series we see an eyecatch just after the Preview. Do you normally call the eyecatches? Well since I was downloading the 720p raws I figured it would be nice to have them all in one post and here they are:
If you want the 1280 x 720 versions you can download the ZIP here. A select few I had to edit due to the watermark so you may see little left over bits that I missed. But hey, I’m not expert on Photoshop, so don’t expect too much. Hope you’ll enjoy these. Download the RAR file here.

For a final episode, this didn’t really feel like a final episode with it’s unusual slow pacing, but given that most of the action was resolved last episode, this is more of a winding down of the series. Starting off with Rin and Tamaki’s little date to watch the Blade Braver movie. Oh man they should make a Blade Braver series or movie. It was pretty funny to see that Tamaki’s voice was dubbed over but more funny seeing the double starry eyes afterwards.

This had to be one of the most exciting episodes for Bamboo Blade as not only did we have some awesome matches, we also resolved the rivalry between characters. Miyako was the real hero this episode and I guess I was wrong about her not winning any matches throughout the series. Winning against Carrie in a match was one thing, but Miyako’s pride was certainly burning with passion as she wanted to defeat Carrie’s nitouryuu. But I’m a little underwhelmed how Miyako managed to knock Carrie’s shinai’s out of a random swing, but it’s still counted as a win, and it was because of the power of love! Also young Carrie was cute, ah how the young mind is easily influenced by television.

With a series like Bamboo Blade, it’s kind of hard to see some drama fit into it, but with this episode, we certainly got some level of drama that made this really enjoyable. With the club’s defeat still lingering amongst everyone, it seems that the club is falling apart with Tamaki resigning, Toraji placing the issue of Toyama and Iwase on her shoulders, and Miyako’s depression of losing to Carrie. But the one thing I loved about this episode is how it portrays that everyone as individuals they are weak, but as a whole, they are strong.

After their defeat at the tournament, it wasn’t surprising that everyone was feeling down, especially Miyako. After all her training she still couldn’t beat Carrie or even some of the other opponents she faced throughout the tournament. I still doubt that we’ll see Miyako win a match before the series ends as the next few episodes will be spent on the girls picking up their confidence again and start training once again.

Things have certainly heated up in this episode, but we could see the results coming a mile away. Tama-chan was bound to lose to someone in the series and what better person than Rin. With the parallelism of Tama-chan vs Rin and Braver vs Shinaida we could see the build up to this point and it was certain that Rin would win. However I do think that the ascension stance made Tama-chan lose focus and cost her that first point so in essence, it was partly Tama-chan’s fault. We saw this happen earlier in the series and I still wonder why that particular stance reminds Tama-chan of her mother. Perhaps we’ll find out in the next episode.

Well I think Tama-chan has finally meet her match, and possibly the one person that can defeat Tama-chan. Rin this episode has shown that she is very capable with a shinai and she held her ground quite well against Tama-chan. But it’s not just only in kendo, but possibly in her passion for Blade Braver as Rin has also shown how passionate she is about Shinaida. So it’ll be a pretty awesome match when the two meet again at the kendo tournament, but my guess is that Tama-chan has a good chance of losing to Rin. Rin also being a year older would have more experience than Tama-chan assuming they both started kendo around the same age.
