Ever since I got my Canon 400D since October last year, I’ve always wanted a new lens. In fact I had several lenses that I wished to obtain, but due to working a dead end job as a long life night filler for a supermarket chain, there was no way I could gather the funds required to purchase any camera equipment. However all that changed once I got myself into a full time job and started earning real money. So after a few weeks of accessing my finances, I finally took the plunge, and went out and bought myself a Canon 60mm f2.8 macro lens.

Now this is news that I like waking up to. A 3rd season of ARIA, ARIA the ORIGINATION, is going to be announced in Mag Garden’s Comic Blade October edition, which I may go and buy. Apparently the series has been in production since spring but no air date ahas been set. Director will be once again Sato Junichi and the staff will be mainly composed of those who worked on the OVA.
Although it is a third season, I’m overly joyed to hear this, but begin to wonder which parts of the manga that they will cover. Of course there is plenty of material to use, but with the title called “ORIGINATION” makes me wonder if they will take a look at the beginning chapters of ARIA or even from AQUA of when Akari first comes to Neo-Venezia. Well something to look forward to and to keep my ARIA passion burning! Definitely something I’ll blog.

Well after hearing the announcement WAY back in March, we finally see the ARIA The OVA ~Arietta~ website online. The date for the release is the 21st September, which is quite a long way away. Although seeing the picture on the site, it appears the background animation has improved significantly over the TV series and is more detailed. But of course this is only a promo picture so I do hope they release a preview trailer or something before the actual release. Plus since this is an OVA series, chances of me purchasing the DVDs are pretty good. (Yes I don’t have the TV series DVDs, surprise isn’t it?)
There is also an event held on the 2nd September called La festa di ARIA, which is probably just a promo event before the release of the DVD. Anyway check out the website here.
Also to note, I have been told an interesting rumour that Amano Kozue may be finishing up the ARIA manga soon. This I heard from a fellow ARIA fan, but how much of this is true I am unsure myself. Anyone want to clarify for me?

Yes there is going to be an ARIA OVA. I think this is awesome news and with it being an OVA the animation quality would have to be really good. Although I have no idea on what the story will be about since the TV series covered most of the chapters in the manga, though they maybe picking something out of the more recent chapters. Either way I’ll be looking forward to this.
With already two ARIA The Natural figures, Akari and Aika, there is a third. So gracing us with her elegant beauty is none other than the Undine nicked-named Snow White, Alicia Florence.
