One of the greatest things about the Japan trip was being able to experience new things. However it’s also great to do the same things you do back at home and for me, one of them is driving. Day 2 of the car hire adventure takes me to an even greater adventure and this would more than likely be the highlight of the entire trip. Wow, No.6 of the 7 figures in 7 days series. I really can’t believe that I’ve made it this far, but one thing for sure, I’ve lost some sleep over the past few days, lol. Since we’re drawing close towards the end of the 7 days I figured I should at least do a group one together. It also means I can slash through the pile in another big hit. Still on a roll, No.5 of 7 figures over 7 days. This time we take a trip to the other side of my fandom for moé which is the Visual Arts/Key side of things, but the focus for this post is Clannad. It’s been a while since they released any Clannad figures (the last one I bought was like 2-3 years ago) but with the recent success to the Clannad anime series, it has sparked an influx of merchandise. My third anticipated series for the spring season would have to be this. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu is about Nogizaka Haruka who is the school’s idol but with one secret, she’s an otaku. Ayase Yuto discovers her secret and the two become friends. When I first read up on this series I figured it would be right up my alley, and it is. The cute girls and all is one factor that has drawn my attention, but what I really enjoyed about the first episode was just it’s simplicity. The simplicity that this is just another high school romance comedy, except the main male character is a bit laid back.

Wow did a lot of stuff just happen in this episode. First was Naoki’s father and heart his heart attack, then Naoki going to a marriage meeting, and now Kin-chan’s proposal to Kotoko. Although I expected Kin-chan would propose to Kotoko eventually but I didn’t expect it to be on their first date together. Still you have to admire Kin-chan to persevere with his feelings for Kotoko and that he’s shaped up to be quite the man, now that he’s becoming more steady in his job. But I don’t think Kotoko would consider marrying Kin-chan since she still has feelings for Naoki.

OP: “flower of bravery” by fripSide
Another series based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms but replace all the male characters with moe girls and it’s more than likely something right up my alley. I would have to say this is the 4th anticipated show for me this season as I usually take a liking to series that are h-game turned into anime series, but I was kind of skeptical before watching this. However I did find the first episode to be quite enjoyable on a number of levels. Of course the first items is so many cute girls.
