My first published Photography Work
One of the dreams I had when I first got my Canon 400D was to have my work published. Its close to 4 years since I got my camera and I’ve experienced a variety of photography adventures from figures, weddings, car shows, travels, conventions, cosplay, and dollfies. There has been many trials and errors in my photography but as the experience grows the quality certainly improves.
Having also met various people because of photography, many opportunities arise and for me, a delightful opportunity it was. With figures being the better of my skills I finally was able to have my work published. Hit the jump to read more about it.
My article is of a figure review, Fasalina, which was published in the 19th Edition of Animavericks. I was introduced to one of the main people in charge of Animavericks by a friend at Animania Sydney March and we ended up chatting about what we do. Discussing that I’m a photographer and did figure reviews got him interested and its pretty simple how the rest goes. Below is the article that was published (click to view a larger version):
I am quite happy with the article layout as I myself wouldn’t have been able to come up with that. I picked up this copy at Supanova Sydney back in July and the next issue of Animavericks is already in the works.I have submitted another one of my figure reviews so look forward to that in the next issue. However at this point I am not sure if I will be continue to do figure reviews as I’m reaching the point of not buying figures as much compared to previous years. But we shall wait and see.
All up I’d like to thank Animavericks for giving me the opportunity to have my work published and lets us hope there’ll be more opportunities in the future.
