Mini’s Dollfie Life part 1: A Fated Encounter
Near the end of my last post, I quipped that there were a few items missing from the photo of stuff I brought back from Japan. I figured it was high time I took a few shots of one of these acquisitions.
I first saw Fate in Dollfie form some time ago when a webpage was posted about Dolls Party 21, at the end of May 2009. As much as I would have liked to get her, there was the ever-present prospect of sticker shock. However, Comiket 76 was looming on the horizon and with it, a chance to bring back some choice goods with a minimum of shipping fuss.
Thus, armed with a fistful of yen and the coercion… er, encouragement of some fellow blogger alumni, I set out onto the streets of Tokyo in August to acquire a Dollfie for myself.
The result: mission accomplished.
I still wasn’t quite prepared for the magnitude of the Dollfie experience. Fate stands at almost 2 feet high, including her boots, and the various parts of her outfit are well made and nicely detailed. It took me some time to dress her properly (finding the catch-points for the clasps and so forth) but the effort was well worth it.
Of course a girl like Fate shouldn’t be stuck in her work clothes all the time, so while I was in Japan I also bought some more outfits and shoes. I already have Fate’s officer uniform so that might be what I’ll use to show her next time.
Even though Fate is dressed for action, it’s not always serious business in Riot Force 6.
Gorgeous delicious Lightning Squad~
