Another day at a convention means another cosplay competition to cover. Once again majority of attendees flock to the main stage and I once again station myself in the same spot as I did for Saturday, except this time my legs weren’t dying on me. Also just before the cosplay competition started, the AVCon Hour was on before this and they were doing bingo. As each cosplayer had finished their turn on the stage, they were asked to take a numbered ball from a box until a winner was declared. Good thing I probably won’t play bingo until I’m retired.
That concludes the cosplay competition for SMASH! 2009 Sunday. A lot less entries than Saturday but not necessarily a bad thing. Though I do wonder why some of the best cosplayers around don’t enter the competition. Sunday is like the best chance to win the competition since there are less entries! The one complaint I have about the competition isn’t the competition itself, it was the guy who walked right in front of everyone when the Akatsuki group was posing and was there for majority of their time. So I’m guessing a lot of people would have the back of his head in their photos. I managed to get my shot just as the group was about to exit the stage.

I’d say that a some of the good costumes wandering around are bought, hence why they’re not in the competition. And others are busy with artist tables, stalls, or running the con.
