Over at figure.fm, Danny Choo has a competition going called Miss Summer Dollfie 2009. So I decided to stop being partially lazy and did some photo shoots for my entry with Erika. The three required themes were underwear/swimwear, casual/default clothes, and an outdoor shoot. Even though it’s Winter here in Sydney, thankfully it wasn’t too cold or raining so I managed to do an outdoor shoot just before the deadline. So hit the jump to check out the photos I used for the entry.
Firstly let’s start off with the outdoor shoot. I didn’t have a lot of options for choosing a place to do the photo shoot as y local area does lack a lot of things. However I did remember one spot that I’ve always wanted to take me figures to for a photo shoot and it would be a good place for Erika. The outdoor shoot probably took a maximum of 10 minutes, but when you usually do a photo shoot as short as this, there’s bound to be some kind of problem. The photo seen above is actually overexposed since I didn’t set the shutter speed fast enough. I’ve mentioned once that having an underexposed photo is easier to edit than an overexposed one. So technically not too pleased with the result, but passable.

The exact spot I positioned Erika was good at times, especially if a shadow came over her. Direct sunlight onto either a figure or dollfie can usually determine if the photo looks balanced or overexposed. Though I guess another reason would be she is wearing a white blouse which can also change the brightness involved.

The theme for this photo shoot was “waiting”. I probably would have done more poses but since I was cutting it close to the deadline I just stuck with the one pose and from different angles. Also I was fortunate enough to have a slight breeze blowing behind her so if you look carefully, or at the larger versions you can see her hair flowing. Overall I’m pleased with the results, even though it took me 10 minutes. If I took longer I’m sure I could have produced better ones.

Oh to also note, this set of clothes is her 2nd set of clothes that I got WAY back at the start of the year. And yes, I finally took photos of her wearing them. But I still prefer the school uniform over this casual set of clothes. Next set is the underwear set.

The inspiration of this came from when I recently played the Da Capo game again. Juniichi walked into Nemu sitting on her bed half dressed and she got angry at him. It’s amazing how I can get ideas from anime and games. This photo shoot I could only do at a certain time of the day where the sun gave the right amount of lighting I needed to come through the windows, so roughly around 3-4pm.

Erika only came with panties, so I think the otion of no bra works much better here. I was aiming for that sexy type look but with Erika having an M-bust, it only managed to work. Perhaps if she had a L-bust or even a DDy type body it would’ve worked a lot better.

Same concept as above, but this time with her lying down. A much more welcoming pose and the use of clothes to cover up bits is much more sexier than using arms or hands. I would say that this underwear set of photos would be close to my best photo work to date.

The Valentine Day’s photo I have set as my wallpaper on my iPhone, so Erika will always be with me when I’m out and about. But do check out the other entries over at figure.fm as some of them are quite amazing. But let’s hope I have a shot of winning as I wouldn’t mind some new clothes for Erika. And I’m sure she’d be happy too.
