“If you want to see another season of your show, follow these instructions exactly.”
All good things come to an end.

After my graduation from uni, I went through a phase of hardship spanning over 10 months when it came to looking for a job. I was aiming to get into the IT field and as I reached the 9th and 10th month I was reaching a point of depression of not finding a job. Thankfully I made a breakthrough and finally got a web development job. It’s been two years since then and it has been pretty peachy and my skills have come a long way since then and I thought that I would be in this job for quite sometime. However I’ve been quite naive in having that kind of mindset. As of today I’ve been laid off.
There are many reason why this has happened but I shall not go into details about, but I guess I should have seen this coming. If you follow my Twitter then most of you would know by now, but the simple explanation is that the company is closing for business. Today I’ve been feeling rather sad about this the worries I had 2 years ago are sort of coming back again. And now my plans for another overseas holiday next year are out of the question.
But I have to look at the brighter side of things now and think of it as a new beginning. I do wish to continue working in the web development field as the opportunities are endless but whether I wish to continue in ColdFusion development is another question. I would like to expand my skills in PHP and other web technologies so I may have to start learning these on my own for the time being. So for now I shall be going through some tough times over the coming weeks as I am now gone back to a NEET status and will be going through the daunting process of interviews.
If you’re a Sydney based reader and know of any place wanting a web developer with 2 years of commercial development experience (doesn’t have to be ColdFusion specific) please do send me an email about it.
EDIT: Just created a LinkedIn account for those who want to add me.

For some reason I highly enjoyed this episode, probably just due to the randomness of things happening as its sort of a break from the rather dull storyline. Firstly was the appearance of Nabeshin as the salesman. I seriously didn’t get why he appeared in a series like this but damn it was funny and random. Nue’s impression of Mifuyu was also a delight and despite her looking like a little doll, she is quite knowledgeable in the adult world and I’m sure that scene would have appealed to Mifuyu fans.
Whenever I attend a convention, I try to place a budget on how much I should spend there. Over the years I have never ever met that expectation, and once again this year at Supanova was no exception. I came close to my set budget, but with the persuasion of friends Roobar and Blox, I caved in. Yes I am a weak man. Though do I regret on giving in so easily? Well sort of, but that is a different issue. Read on to see what goodies I bought from Supanova Sydney 2009.

After a disappointing two episodes of Yumina, its good to see we are back on track with the somewhat stagnant story and full of Ameri goodness. Seeing Ameri’s growing jealously over Mashiro and Yuuri’s relationship brought some life back and with Ouryuu leading her almost like her trueself. But I must say that the constant flashback to the same scene did get annoying. Also I notice that whenever Ameri is on screen, they use a lot of slanted panning shots on her which confuses the hell out of me of why they keep using it.
