The kinetic novel planetarian is probably something I will always remember as one of the best short stories I’ve ever read. It was certainly a great hit from Key but although it has garnered such success, there really isn’t all that much merchandise out there for it. Well merchandise that is easily obtainable. However browsing Hobby Search randomly one day I came across some very nice planetarian tapestries and they arrived last week:
I actually have a poster of tapestry A (the one pictured above) from a friend from uni, but its one of those small posters from Megami. So having a larger version in a form that will last the sans of time longer than paper is always nice. The quality of the print is top notch that you could easily notice these hanging from across the room.
But knowing me, I couldn’t get one without the other. How could anyone resist the cute malfunctioning robot Yumemi. Each tapestry is priced at an affordable ¥3,000 and to say that I would have to choose one would be difficult. But if I had to choose one it would be tapestry B. I kind of wished there was more planetarian items available or possibly even a mainstream figure. There are resin kits but I don’t have the skills for such things. Perhaps even some dollfie clothes (hey now there’s a costume idea!).
These are definitely something for the planetarian fans or fans of Key’s works in general. But I do hope you have some wall space to hang these as I sure don’t. So they’ll be stored away until I get my own place with more with proper wall real estate. Unfortunately Hobby Search seem to have both tapestry A and tapestry B out of stock, but do keep your eyes peeled as they may restock them at a later date.

Had a browser and found a nice Nagisa one. I find they are kinda pricey. :S
How much was shipping?
Why not put them up in the living room for the time being? Kind of a waste storing away the moeness don’t ya think. xD

Very nice! I especially like the first one.
Based on the praise I’ve heard on Planetarian, I spent a LONG time trying to get the game to work. Thankfully, I got it to work with English patch a few months ago. Love the setting in that story but also cute Yumemi as well.

Oh, too bad they are out of stock. My favorite is tapestry A, but giving a second look Tapestry B is good as well (and If you care about which girl seems bigger in the tapestry, then B is your best option.)
