Om nom nom (again)
Summer, swimsuits and Sawako: it’s the second annual training camp.
Not the usual sister complex
Another training camp is announced for the light music club; Azusa seems to have forgotten the lesson taught by the last episode and wants it to be serious business. Also it turns out that Ui doesn’t just love her big sister: she utterly idolizes Yui because of her hyper-cuteness.
Works even better with cat-ears
Mio acting as Azusa’s surrogate big sis is even more obvious in this episode, which leads to Ritsu getting the short end of the stick this time.
Reverse symmetrical docking
The best thing about beach episodes: swimsuit fanservice! The familiar tropes from the last training camp showed up again, such as Tsumugi getting more perks than she asked, Yui and Ritsu “getting lost”, and Mio freaking out about barnacles. No prizes for guessing who would be having the most fun this time around.
What are ya… chicken? Bok bok bok
What’s a group holiday without some ghost stories? Mio and Azusa are sent to run the gauntlet, with the younger girl having the clearer head. Thanks to the late arrival of a certain advisor, we got to see Mio turn an amusing shade of white.
When Sawako gets an idea, best be running
Sawako may be pretend to be sweetness and light, but really she acts like an old man when there’s a suitable victim present. Also, she’s a newly inducted member of the Weight Gain Sisterhood.
If Ui saw this she’d probably turn yandere
Thanks to an impromptu midnight training session, we learn that two big reasons that Yui likes Azusa are: guitar technique tutorials, and a twin-tailed huggy-bear.
The bigger mystery: who took the photo?
Thus, Azusa learns more about the concept of acting within the team, and why their music can sound so good even if their skills aren’t top-notch.
