Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S - 02

One of the greatest things I love about Polyphonica is the relationship between Phoron and Corti. Phoron is the type of person who is too reserved about everything as well as someone who lacks confidence. Corti on the other hand is the complete opposite to Phoron where she speaks her mind regardless of the person’s stature. Though this is probably due to her being a very high level spirit. But the dynamics between them is something else. Corti is the one who is always pushing Phoron to move forward and be more of a man, and then Phoron is the one who holds back Corti due to his lack of confidence and direction.

Impressions

It’s only the second episode but I’m assuming a great amount of time has passed, but Corti already seems to have Phoron as a slave, but still manages to keep that supportive nature that all spirits have with their contractor. Although it seems that Phoron doesn’t take this support at all and seems to take on everything himself. It makes me wonder how much worse Phoron would be without Corti. Still I’m glad to see Corti finally say something to Phoron about his commandia being boring. Even I could tell that the commandia he played had nothing.

On the other side of things there appears to be some kind of incident occurring behind the scenes since the President has requested the help of Eufinley. I’m guessing whatever is happeningwill involve both Phoron and Corti which in turn will make their bond stronger, but as well as help Phoron discover what he is missing in his performances. So far I’m definitely enjoying this new series of Polyphonica and I’m interested in how everyone bonds together before joining the company.

Also this episode we finally see the ending sequence. I really like this and combining with Haruka Tomatsu singing it gives that kind of nostalgic feeling.

Ending Sequence:

ED: “Koi no Uta (こいのうた)” by Haruka Tomatsu
