Another upbeat song from ICHIKO with all the familiar characters and including some of the newer ones that we’ll see this third season.

Impressions

They say a third times a charm and does that really apply to this third season of Zero no Tsukaima? Well from what I can remember of the first two seasons was that it usually starts off on good terms but then does a mad dash towards the end making you think wtf just happened. I’m in a little doubt with this series as the same thing may happen since we’re also going to be introduced to two new girls that will be joining Saito’s harem.

However this first episode had turned out better than I had expected as we started off with how much Saito and Louise’s relationship has deepened but the fact that she gets pissed towards the end and blows him up just seems like we’re back to square one. Though with Saito’s runes disappearing it does bring forth a major test in their relationship since they both saw each other as a master and familiar relationship first than real lovers.

Storywise so far it has shaken some interest in me especially with other void magic users and familiars, and the slightly fast pacing of the first episode hopefully means the story will progress pretty fast. But likely I mentioned before, that can be it’s downfall. My speculation is that this third season will probably trail off into a 4th and possibly final season as I really can’t see this series resolving everything in 12/13 episode. Either way it’s a definite watch for me as I look forward to hearing Mamiko Noto as Tiffania but not something I’ll be blogging.
