ron~: Well during my run on the wangan I’ll either be by myself or one of my mates will join me as I’m sure two of them don’t want to be sitting in a car the whole night. Since I’m not going to Animelo on the 30th, I’ll be heading to Chara Hobby on the 30th, but I’ll see if I’ll goto the 2nd day or not.

Punynari: One of the problems I see is finding a place to stay overnight that has a room vacant, but mainly the drive up that way. But like I said, I’ll see how things pan out to see if it’s worth driving out that way.

Hope you have fun on your Japan trip.

I was considering checking out Shirakawa-go too sometime but I’m kind of nervous. I hear some of hotels there speak English and are used to foreign travelers. Plus, I would have to reserve a highway bus from Takayama. I’m mostly used to riding trains in Tokyo, so this would be a large step. Hopefully, my upcoming Kyoto/Nara trip with my brother will give me more confidence with traveling outside of Tokyo.

If you do make it to Shirakawa-go, please take lots of pictures. That area is beautiful in the summer time.
