Wow, this must be the best Sakura episode in Da Capo ever. Now I never got to Sakura’s story in the Da Capo II game so this is all pretty new to me, but I could see some hints throughout the series progression and I think this episode did Sakura justice. Seeing her taking on all the responsibility and having to say goodbye to Yoshiyuki was pretty emotional as she has been through a lot of pain and suffering for the past 50 years and that this is her way to help save not only Yoshiyuki, but the bonds that are tied to Yoshiyuki.

Impressions
Though just before Sakura executed her final plan, I loved how she saw Junnichi for the last time and got him to cut her hair. I guess in a way it would be ending things from the original Da Capo series with her seeing off the one person that she loves, but in a sense is also a way for her to ease her pain of what she is going to do. So now that she has sacrificed herself to prevent any more bad wishes being granted, this is definitely not the end of the sakura tree. The dream that Yoshiyuki had with Yume is certainly an eye raiser and I’m sure we’re in for an emotional rollercoaster between Otome, Yume and Yoshiyuki.
With Otome learning the truth about Yoshiyuki her attitude has already began to change, and Yume has also began to change, probably due to that dream that Yoshiyuki saw. So the sisters have appeared to switched roles but it’s still up in the air of which of the Asakura sister’s story that we’re going to be seeing. But given that dream, it looks to be leaning towards a Yume ending.
