Any episode that focuses on Otome is pure win in my books, even if the episode itself was pretty generic or bland. This episode mainly has Yoshiyuki and Otome investigating about all the accidents that have been occurring around Hatsunejima, but we also got some insight on things about the sakura tree as well as Anzu. I’ve been wondering how they were going to fit Anzu’s story into this series and it seems that it’s becoming slightly more clearer and I can see how it ties in with the Asakura sisters.
However the best moments of this episode was Junnichi reminiscing about his days of youth, and all of the girls from the original Da Capo. Though I’m not sure if Junnichi is playing it dumb or not, but I’m sure he knows all about the sakura tree and all the accidents that have been occurring. However I’m sure he’ll play another role later on in the series when we get to the more dramatic bits of Otome’s story and with the mysteries of the sakura tree being revealed. Anzu’s story I find quite interesting, but more interesting on the fact that she revealed such a secret indirectly. She hasn’t really been the type to talk about herself much so this came as a strange thing. But I can see what’s coming when we reach the near end of the series.
Oh and poor Yume, sitting at home starving. Damn she’s probably more lazy than me. She can’t even be bothered to make herself a sandwich. But I guess it’s probably the whole eating as a family thing or eat only at specific times. Also seeing her being a little annoyed at Yoshiyuki spending most of his time with Otome, it’s like we sense a hint of jealousy. Anyway I’m guessing next episode would be a Yume focuses one, as recently we’ve been switching between the two sisters. Let’s hope for some more development!
