Moé Moé Rabu

There is rarely a time where I’m sitting here watching an anime series that makes me turn into some kind of moé blob. Though with this episode, I’d say I was about halfway there. After last episode’s surprise detour to Anzu’s route, we’re once back on track with the Asakura sisters but this time we’re focused on Otome. Already we’re looking into the past and promises that were made so I can only think that we’re definitely heading into Otome’s story first.

Impressions

Seeing how Yoshiyuki, Otome, and Yume were when they were kids was a pretty good addition as we never got to see much in the game itself except the promise that Yoshiyuki and Otome made. How much they have changed over the years comes as a shock really as Yume was pretty easy going and happy, and then at present it’s like she’s in full Nemu mode. Otome on the otherhand felt to be the odd one out and was depressed about it, until Yoshiyuki came about. The whole magician of justice thing I never fully understood in the game and I still can’t understand it right now. So with the promise between the two I wonder how the anime will go down this path.

Otome and Yoshiyuki are so good together. Their relationship is really close, yet it’s definitely not of a romantic type. In a sense this certainly fills me with much rage in which Yoshiyuki could never take it that one level higher. And with the series only just starting, I don’t think it will be an Otome ending. At this stage it definitely seems that we may be heading for a Yume ending as by far she seems to be the better contender for a romantic relationship, assuming she becomes deredere soon.

I was certainly surprised in the game when I saw Junichi was still alive, but of course being older and all. But I was disappointed in never seeing Nemu at all, and the same will most likely apply in the anime. With Sakura still looking the same I can only see that the sakura tree has something to do with that and we’ll find out later on near the end of the series. Yeah I never did get to finish the game completely, so I look forward to the end of the series to find out what happens.
