The manga goes though like... 8-10-ish years through their relationship, so they've got a lot to cover. The first Taiwanese series was 20 episodes (each 1 hours long), ended about 5 years through their relationship, and highschool only took up about 5 of those episodes! But I think the anime so far has been doing a great job of hitting all the major points at a good pace. Believe it or not, they should be out of highschool quite soon. PS: Right now there's a sequel to the Taiwanese drama out, which has now reached the point where the mangaka had unfortunately died, but I'm excited to say that there's still a lot to see! Watching the anime version come out around the same time makes all these events feel nostalgic! That could explain why the seemingly obligatory Sports Day / Pool etc episodes are appearing so quickly in the series. This series is my favourite so far this season closely followed by Macross Frontier and Allison to Lillia. Kotoko manages to make you totally root for her despite being a klutz in most respects while Naoki will usually end up doing the right thing despite himself!
