The style of the opening theme I really like especially when it hits the chorus. Very upbeat and catchy and I probably prefer this than the opening theme from the first season.

Impressions
It seems like such a long time since I watched the first season of xxxHOLiC, but I see it as a good and bad thing for me. Personally I never liked how the overall pacing of the first season went or some of the stories that were involved, yet watching Watanuki’s random outbursts are always a joy to watch. But more funnier since it’s Fukuyama Jun who’s the seiyuu for Watanuki. Animation wise I can’t really tell the difference between this season and the first season since xxxHOLiC has a pretty unique style in terms of drawing and character designs, but I’m hoping we get to see some weirded out type of scenarios since it fits well with this kind of series.
Also I have never read the manga so I’m not sure how this second season will go about but if it’ll be anything like the first, we’ll mainly have stand alone arcs/stories than a continuous ongoing plot. Oh the moment I saw Watanuki missing his right eye, it just reminded me so much of Syaoran from Tsubasa Chronicle. Anyway I’m not too big of a xxxHOLiC fan, nor do I find it that enjoyable. However I will continue watching as some stories are quite interesting but this is definitely not a series I will continue to blog about.

ED: “Honey Honey feat. AYUSE KOZUE” by SEAMO
Definitely still prefer the opening theme for this new season but that isn’t to say that the ending theme isn’t great. It just doesn’t seem to match with the ED sequence what with all the Mokanas and all.

I dont really count xxxHolic among my favorites show, though Yuko is in my top favorite character ever. So I am really looking forward this new season. Love the way she exploits Watanuki and how she enjoy life with black Mokona and the twins Maru & Moro ^^
Shes such a fantastic character with amazing costumes and clothes. I hope she will be treated with as well as in the first season.
But I am a bit afraid, since I havent seen any fansubbed episode yet, while other “more recent & popular ecchi shows” have already their subbed version…
Hope xxxHolic wont be forgotten… ’cause I am not really into watching raw episodes ^^;
I don’t think I’ll be watching this one. Oh well, you can’t follow them all I suppose XD.
lu-k: Oh I’m sure there will be someone subbing the series. Shinsen-subs may pick it up since they also subbed the first season.
M12: One can follow them all, but many sacrifices must be made, lol.
