Clannad Movie Collectors & Special Edition DVDs

It certainly has been a long time since the Clannad movie had aired in cinemas in Japan, but for those of us who don’t live in Japan we have to wait for the DVD release. I remember waiting eagerly for the Air movie DVD release to come out yet it didn’t feel as long as compared to the Clannad movie. Well lucky for us, the Clannad movie DVD release was in fact 4 days ago and these arrived at my doorstep early this morning:

H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ - 10

Right after a little happy ending to last episode, we’re now delving into the more serious side of the story and start looking into the mystery behind Hayami and Takuma. We’ve seen why the town hates Hayami’s family so much, but we never knew why people didn’t want Takuma associating with Hayami. However it seems only the adults knew about the incident between the Hirose and Kohinata family, but I wonder if there is still a deeper meaning to why Takuma must not be together with Hayami.

Bamboo Blade - 22

Things have certainly heated up in this episode, but we could see the results coming a mile away. Tama-chan was bound to lose to someone in the series and what better person than Rin. With the parallelism of Tama-chan vs Rin and Braver vs Shinaida we could see the build up to this point and it was certain that Rin would win. However I do think that the ascension stance made Tama-chan lose focus and cost her that first point so in essence, it was partly Tama-chan’s fault. We saw this happen earlier in the series and I still wonder why that particular stance reminds Tama-chan of her mother. Perhaps we’ll find out in the next episode.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 48

Really, ever since the introduction of Hinagiku to the Hayate no Gotoku serie, this has to be the one episode that we’ve all been waiting form and just like the title of this episode, it was full of Hina Love. Hinagiku I’ve always seen as one of he best characters of the series yet she somehow switches a lot between background character and main line yet it happens in such a way that there is enough to make the fanboys go crazy. Though when Hinagiku becomes the focus of the episode, it’s a totally different ball game. Not to mention I’ve actually watched this episode 3 times already (once from screen capping and twice subbed).

The Pulsar Dyno Run - Round 2

It’s certainly has been a long time since I’ve owned my Nissan Pulsar N15 SSS. It’s been at least a good 4 years and it’s still going strong, and it has been a good 3 years since it I had it running on a dyno. The last time I did the run I got 92.3kW ( 123.78 HP) at the wheels and it had certainly surprised not only me, but the other Pulsar owners that were there. So after three years I figured it was time to see if it’s still going strong. So hit the jump to check out the results.

ARIA The Origination - 09

The most beautiful ARIA episode for me to date is definitely from ARIA The Natural when Akari said goodbye to her gondola. It still stands at the number 1 spot and I never had a number 2…… until now. Really, I could not help myself but smile throughout this entire episode knowing what was to come ahead, but having not read this chapter, I wasn’t too sure on what to expect. Yet the anime has once again exceeded my expectations of how well it would be executed. Time is certainly moving fast in the world of ARIA and with a lot of developments that we didn’t see in previous episode or in previous seasons.

Clannad DVD Vol 3

If there is anything I enjoy collecting other than figures, it would have to be DVDs. Or more specifically the Japanese domestic releases as they come with awesome goodies that you can’t compare to the US releases, or even the Australian releases. And so to add to my collection of DVDs which I probably will never watch, Clannad Limited Edition Volume 3.
