As a long time figure collector, most of the lovely ladies possess cuteness, elegance, or just your average school girl look. But I do like to venture beyond these attributes and pick up a figure which is different and something that stands out. Well with the recent Halloween Girl figure, I might as well keep going with the trend of sexy figures, but also continue with some more indoor photo shoots. So keep your pants on and hit the jump to check out photos of Max Factory’s Fasalina.
Back when Gun X Sword was airing in Japan, I was thinking I would be in for something similar to Trigun, but oh god was I wrong. I never got to finish the series since it got licensed but I didn’t really care all that much since the series itself was pretty crap. Despite it being a crap series, character wise it certainly had some quality ones that would make excellent figures, and one character is Fasalina.
The very first thing you notice is Fasalina’s nice eyes. But be careful, stare too long and you’ll probably get your eyes poked out. Out of my collection, Fasalina is by far the sexiest, followed closely by Sana and KOSMOS, but Fasalina has that cutting edge in terms of beauty and eroticism. Her posing is also very tasteful in the way her back is arched, the way she wraps her right arm on the pole, to her little pinky pointing below her mouth. The look in her eyes look so lustful, but has many mysteries, and that is what I like about this Fasalina figure.
Of course like all figures, her lower half of her clothes is removable, but this is as much as you’ll get. Paintwork on Fasalina looks to be fair and average, which is rather strange for a Max Factory figure, where they are reknown for such high quality. Only very few artifacts can be found especially around her zettai ryouiki, but that is something that is usually present in all figures. She does come with a round blue base (which I forgot to take pictures of) that has a shiny pattern of some sort.

For a figure of this magnitude in pure hotness, it feels as if it’s missing something. It needs something that will take this Fasalina figure to the next level well above other figures that we see released, and that something is probably a cast-off feature. Sure you can remove her lower half, but that still brings us nothing more since Fasalina is wearing something like a leotard, and that limits the sexiness that this figure can bring. I think it’s rare to see a figure with such a character design which has so much potential, yet Max Factory seemed to have not reached for that potential at all.
Of course this figure on it’s own is great, and if you want a sexy hot babe on your shelf without people questioning about it, then even better. But this figure really isn’t something that everyone should get. The quality is on average, but it’s lustful and playful aura this figure gives that makes me think it’s still a good figure. I’ve read that many people had trouble trying to fit the pole through her chest, I had the same issue, but with some effort, all was right with the world. Actually one thing that probably would’ve made this figure much much more awesome would be if her chest was squeezable, rather than seeing a drill hole from the top. Still after buying this figure, the next life as a pole doesn’t seem to be too bad at all.

Photography Notes:
Yeah, once again it’s another indoor shoot. Recently I’ve been thinking my indoor photo shoots have been improving so I figured I’d try more. About half of these photos were taken again with only one light, but then I decided to try out two lights and got roughly the same results. Post-processing wise I edited with the RGB curves and I’m surprised at how well I can tune the colouring of the photos as compared to applying photo filters.
I also wanted to try doing more shadowed styles like the ones by mukyaa~ and Happy Soda, but I seem to always go for the more vibrant look, and it’s a habit that I should probably break out of, lol. Though I may try it later down the track with other figures.

Nice photos and nice figure XD
not one I would display though…
but i wouldn’t mind getting it if it was squeezable
Too bad my mom would never let me get a figure like this D:

I pretty much skipped this because I go for “pure-hearted moe” figures, if that makes any sense.

lol, great shoot.
I don’t really like this figure since I think “it’s” too big but that’s just me, the figure itself looks great.
I do enjoy your vibrant look in the photos you take, so don’t think it’s a bad thing.
I’d look at your halloween figure (which I really wanted but had to pass) but I’m in class… so that’s a nono, I’ll get to it once I get home :3

this one is nicer than last shot
nothing wrong with vibrant tho, I also like vibrant more than shadows ^_^
Strange to see that this one still in stock in HLJ, usually max factory figurines out of stock quite fast. maybe because the character looks so adult ^^;

Oh my. That is one sexy figure. I’ve seen on similar but with a broom then a spear. It looks soooo cool. I would totally get this. Sadly, my mom would wonder why I get a figure that looks like that. She doesn’t understand the otaku world…

I see this figure here locally, but my mind keeps saying no to buying it lol. It has the sexy aura but i can’t bring myself to pay for it because of it’s sexiness. It just seems a bit pointless and unsatisfactory if I bought it for that reason, I don’t know why exactly. A squeezable chest would be nice as well as a complete cast-off, then all would be right in the world lol.

I have the same figure in my collection, and as you said, it is out of place among the other Max Factory figures. Still it remained in the top 150 selling figures in Japan for some time, and for its looks, I decided I would get it. Her base is a bit big for her though, and I took half an hour figuring out how the pole fits exactly. I still have not gotten it to fit totally in, I did the best I could without attempting to destroy the entire figure (lol). Nice figure to be having but as also mentioned, not for everyone.

Bubby: I wouldn’t be ashamed of having it displayed, but then that’s just me.
IcyStorm: You just need to hide it form your mum
Zeroblade: Oh I understand perfectly. Fasalina and Halloween-ko are probably the only ones that are the odd ones out in my collection.
Aya Kyunik: Be a man and look at Halloween-ko during class!
ron~: Lately I’ve been doing a lot of vibrant shots, but I do want to try other things as well.
Rin: Seems like a lot of otaku’s parents wouldn’t approve of such a figure. But that one figure you mentioned I think I know which one you are talking about.
AS: I don’t think it’s a pointless reason to buy her because she is sexy, as that’s what Fasalina is all about. But yes, all would be right in the world if she had a squeezable chest.
Panther: That’s rather interesting to hear that she is in the top 150, but I think most Max Factory figures would be in that range. The pole is a bit of a hassle to fit, but I managed to get it in and that’s without destroying anything. You just need to be careful and put in a little elbow grease.
I like Fasalina. One of my favorite character designs. Of the Max Factory figures, this one was probably the one that should have had all the pervy gimmicks…super cast off, squeezable, but no.
super rats’s last blog post..Distance between Imagination and Reality
She was in the top 150, rather, for quite some time. However it is not because she was Max Factory or anything I think. In fact she hit top 20 for a short bit back then, but was kicked out some time ago thanks to the influx of moe, loli and etc, more popular characters that the Japanese prefer (you know how it is with them). It was amusing to see a pair of pliers make it to number 150 two days ago in the ranks though.
As for the elbow grease, I was not so much into figures to know there was such a thing haha, good to know now, thanks. There is another figure, Bome’s Yamamoto Isoroku, that I absolutely refuse to put the arrow in, since I am too afraid of destroying her fingers or even her hand/arm in the process. Off-topic they are on display here.

the breast part doesnt look so convincing.. it’s as though, it’s fake…
Prim3’s last blog post..Preview: Lily Salvatana
Panther: I’ve had other figures where I’ve had to be careful of placing accessories on and luckily to this date nothing has been broken. You just need to give it that magic touch to get it in properly.
Prim3: Well it is a figure after all. You can’t expect to get it perfect.
she was on my buy list, but decided to skip her cause I find that at certain angle she looks kinda weird.
