So finally we’re looking into getting the Devil Z fixed, and with Kitami’s connections, there seems to be more than just fixing it. He’s taken the Devil Z to an acquaintance of his, Takaki, who back in his days, was a genius at doing body repair work, and from the looks of things, Kitami wants him to make the Devil Z be able to go upto speeds of 330km/h. At first I thought I heard him saying he wanted to make it 330kgs lighter, which that in itself would be quite a huge task given that the Devil Z is probably as bare as it can be.

The working life sure is a bitch. These past few weeks I haven’t had the chance to use my camera all that much but hopefully I will soon. Anyway now that I’m back on track with a few things I finally got the chance to go through some of the photos that I took way back during my Christmas holidays. So going through the last of them, this time around, it’s Max Factory’s Kureha from Shining Wind.

Continuing on with some of the Wangan Midnight episodes, this one had taken a rather unusual twist where a lot of the episode was focused on Kouichi and his urges to return to the world of street racing. Well it’s rather obvious since the Devil Z is out of action for the time being and Akio has not much he can do about it, it kind of makes for a nice filler until the Devil Z returns. Anyway Kouichi’s dilemma over whether to return to the streets or stick with his wife is actually pretty crap in my opinion. He should’ve stuck with his wife if he had any common sense, but that sweet bitter taste of being behind the wheel and going at 300km/h is not something you can shake off.

There’s always a chemistry that we see between Akari and the rest of the characters in the series that is something that can’t be described in words, but you can feel it as you watch the series. However when we have an episode that focuses on another character, that same chemistry changes once again. This episode is no exception with the focus being on Alice as well as Alicia. It’s funny how throughout the entire series and manga, this is the first time that Alice has been alone with Alicia, so it was wonderful seeing a different type of aura around the characters.

Just when you think we had quite a bit of Kyou awesomeness in the last episode, this episode just takes it to a higher level of ascension. As a HUGE Kyou fan, I literally died and went to heaven, only to come back and died once again. Not only having Kyou and Tomoya locked in the gym storage room brought about much awesomeness with Kyou, it did bring about much laughter as well and it was something that I didn’t expect them to be building up on. Of course it also brought up some many interesting things such as Tomoya does know Kyou is trying to set him up with Ryou, but it does make one wonder if Kyou’s reactions were from her own feelings or from the charm. But who cares in the end, as who wouldn’t want to be locked up with Kyou? Now I just need that charm encyclopedia that Yukine has.

After knowing that the title for this episode was focused on Yui, I wasn’ttoo excited about it, since I find her to be the annoying character of the series. But after watching this, it has turnd out to be one of the best episodes for this series so far. I even dare say that the animation seems to have improved, but it’s still not great. Anyway this episode we get some character development on Yui, but the major factor this episode was finding out the reason why the town hates Hayami and her family.

In the past, when an ARIA episode is focused on a character other than Akari, it delivers something wonderful and something new about the character. This episode focuses not only on Aika, but as well as Akira and it has brought about a new light that we have never seen in Akira before. ARIA has always been about the moments that occur now, but a glimpse into the past is also a way to bring forth the essence that is ARIA.
