You know the last time I purchased a Dengeki G’s Festival was WAY back in December 2006, now that’s a long time ago, and what I got in that issue of Dengeki G’s Festival was full of Yoake Mae Yori Ruri-iro Na goodies and my beloved Feena dakimakura. Over the months since then, I haven’t noticed any other issues that have appeared at Kinokuniya, or there were things that didn’t interest me. However, about two weeks ago, when I went into the city for serious business, a trip to Kinouniya was in order. Of course I was there with my dear friend Roobar, and once again, the spending contest comes back to bite me once again. And this is one of the items I picked up:

One recurring theme that is present within ARIA is the concept of the past, present, and future. With this episode, we once again take a trip back into the past and discover the many other wonders of ARIA Company but not from Alicia’s perspective, but that of her sempai, Anna, and Grandma. I don’t ever recall seeing a chapter where we meet Alicia’s sempai let alone hear her name anywhere in the manga. However for some burning reason Anna resembles Peorth from Ah My Goddess to me, except Anna isn’t floating in mid-air, lol.

In many other series that I have seen, the addition of a gaijin character, whether they are a permanent cast member, or a one-off character, they bring about much awesomeness to the series. But in Bamboo Blade, well it certainly did bring some fun into the series, but in a sense I’m not really satisfied with it all. Don’t get me wrong, having Kelly fight Miyako over Dan-kun was funn, but I think it was because Kelly appeared for only half of the episode. But with the ending of the episode, I think we could see Kelly make another appearance, but only if Bamboo Blade was going for more than 24 episodes.

Firstly let me just say that was an epic battle between the three cars. In the earlier stages of the series, the race scenes have been pretty standard since it was mainly the Devil Z and Blackbird versing each other, but with the addition of Kouichi’s GTR and Reina tagging along, this has to be the best race scene I’ve seen so far. The whole sensation of seeing 4 cars racing at speeds over 300km/h is something you can’t get out of Initial D, and heck, I haven’t been this excited for quite a while.

Now that was a bombshell they dropped on us. here I was thinking we’d see more into Hinata’s past and about her sister Hotaru, but we get something entirely different. My original theory was that Hotaru died because of Hayami’s family not treating her, much like what happened with Yui’s grandfather, but the fact that the real Hinata had died and Hotaru taking her place is much more interesting. This answers the question of why Hotaru’s grandfather is so strict with her and I guess why she is always shuddering in fear and the need to be a good girl.

Ah the influences of manga can be quite a thing, but when influences one of the richest girls int he world, it’ll surely bring about many laughs. This episode, Nagi comes to the idea that if she treats Hayate coldly, he’ll come chasing after her. Of course Hayate is a little too dense to realise anything and is rather occupied by exploring the many wonders on the cruise ship. Just seeing Nagi resisting to be nice to Hayate was hilarious on it’s own and how she nearly cracked after seeing Hayate’s puppy dog eyes was the icing on the cake.

Wow it certainly his been a long time since the last Hayate no Gotoku episode (subbed that is) so it’s pleasure being able to watch another episode. This episode is focused on Nagi trying to find Hayate’s weakness, with many laughs along the way. Really, with the amount of things that Hayate would have gone through in his entire life there would really be no weaknesses at all. But of course sweet Maria is able to hit the nail on the head and realises Hayate’s weakness. For me I would say his weakness would be money since he can never get a good grasp on it. But then that’s also just his bad luck.
