Hayate no Gotoku! – 44

Recently I’ve been eager to watch more Hayate no Gotoku as recently the episodes have been getting pretty good. Anyway this episode is about Nagi’s manga that finally gets turned into an anime. Hayate mentioned that they already did something like this already but seriously, I can’t remember when that was, lol. Anyway the best parts of this episode was seeing the various parodies and all the characters from some recent, and other well known series. Though the one I loved the most was Mitsuki from Full Moon wo Sagashite.

Well I’m not too sure if this is an anime original episode, but if it was, it was pretty darn good. What better way than to take a step into the anime production side of things, Hayate no Gotoku style! It’d be pretty funny if anime was created like they do in Hayate, but then we’d probably get a lot of crappy series. Anyway, seeing Nagi’s manga turn anime was pretty surprising. I was actually expecting the entire airing to be done in the same style as the OP, but seeing they used Maria and Hayate as characters made it even better. It almost even reflects the current relationships between Nagi, Hayate and Maria. Then of course we get the big WTF with the ending being Isumi’s manga turned anime. I can’t blame Hayate and Maria’s reaction at the end as I would have been the same.

Still, with the adventure of creating an anime, it did bring us some nice development at the end of the episode with Maria and Hayate. I really like these small moments between the two, not to mention Maria is such a tease. With the series coming close to an end, I can’t believe it’s becoming that much more enjoyable, but I guess Synergy SP are going all out towards the end, which is a good thing. Next episode is a Maria focused episode, YAY!

Much, much fanservice this episode. I think the highlight for me was the ending, where Maria basically tells Hayate that, unless he wants to end up with a Shuffle-style ending… he’d better choose a girl and fast. And, while diong so, teased him in a very playful oneesama manner.

Mmmmm. Maria as an onee-sama.

Haesslich: Definitely one of the highlights of this episode. Though Maria as an onee-sama some reason goes well, but also doesn’t. It’s almost like she’s an inbetween.
