So finally we’re looking into getting the Devil Z fixed, and with Kitami’s connections, there seems to be more than just fixing it. He’s taken the Devil Z to an acquaintance of his, Takaki, who back in his days, was a genius at doing body repair work, and from the looks of things, Kitami wants him to make the Devil Z be able to go upto speeds of 330km/h. At first I thought I heard him saying he wanted to make it 330kgs lighter, which that in itself would be quite a huge task given that the Devil Z is probably as bare as it can be.

Impressions

We’re also still focused on Kouichi and his GTR, and from the help of his friend, is looking for the one exhaust setup that will bring his GTR to perfection. One of the basics of tuning your car is to change from the stock exhaust system as it is the breathing system of the car itself. I remember some point in the Wangan arcade game that they call it the dragon exhaust or something like that. By the end of the episode, Kouichi seems to have gotten that one perfect exhaus the was looking for to get the most out of his GTR. Well I was right about Kouichi having to race against Harada in his 300ZX. Though the speeds that Harada got up to in his 300ZX is phenomenal. Of course going at those kinds of speeds, you’ll end up breaking something, and I can see that happening with Harada sometime soon if they are going to race the Devil Z.

It’s also nice to see a little time taken out for Eriko and her time in England. But lol at the attempts to blend in animation with real photos. Anyway she has moved on from worrying about the Devil Z and though she suggest Tatsuya do the same, that is definitely something he can’t do. He probably feels it’s his way honor Eriko’s brother and that it’s his duty to defeat the Devil Z. So now that the Devil Z is getting fixed, Tatsuya still continues to get the Blackbird tuned by Kitami, and Kouichi reaching near perfection with his GTR, I’m expecting a showdown between the three cars very soon.
