Wow it certainly his been a long time since the last Hayate no Gotoku episode (subbed that is) so it’s pleasure being able to watch another episode. This episode is focused on Nagi trying to find Hayate’s weakness, with many laughs along the way. Really, with the amount of things that Hayate would have gone through in his entire life there would really be no weaknesses at all. But of course sweet Maria is able to hit the nail on the head and realises Hayate’s weakness. For me I would say his weakness would be money since he can never get a good grasp on it. But then that’s also just his bad luck.

Impressions
I’m rather surprised that we also see a bit of Hayate’s past and that we find out how he got his name, plus it also makes sense of the title in a way, but I find it more hilarious how his parents are exactly the same when they dropped the debt on him. The other part was Hayate explaining that his father taught him the difference between real and fake, but also getting him to do the dirty work of switching to fake paintings. But I must say, he sure has learnt a variety of things.
Second half of this episode is switched to Wataru and Hayate’s studying for the Hakuou exams, and the discovery that all the girls know at least 4 different languages, with Maris knowing 13. Not surprising when you come from a rich family that you have to know so many languages. Still I was hoping to see something develop from Wataru and Isumi but then we’d lose the whole comedy aspect of Hayate no Gotoku, but I do love it when they do things like this now and then.
Next episode it’s on Sakuya’s cruise ship, and Nagi planning to be be cold towards Hayate in hope to draw him closer. Ah the influences that manga has on the young mind. But her being cold towards Hayate mean she’s taking the tsundere up a level? Oh and this episode’s Hinagiku shots were OMFG hot. Not to mention Isumi’s eyecatch is really cute.

Just watched this myself, I was glad to see it’s still being subbed too, getting two episodes at once made it even better. This was a good episode though, I’m hoping HnG ends up like Keroro Gunsou and just keeps going forever…
Good to see Hayate again, one of the few animes I actually watch this season. It was cute seeing Nagi scared of the “sgt. kero” frog ^^. The Hinagiku fan service is always welcomed ;p.
