Moé Moé Rabu

Continuing on with some of the Wangan Midnight episodes, this one had taken a rather unusual twist where a lot of the episode was focused on Kouichi and his urges to return to the world of street racing. Well it’s rather obvious since the Devil Z is out of action for the time being and Akio has not much he can do about it, it kind of makes for a nice filler until the Devil Z returns. Anyway Kouichi’s dilemma over whether to return to the streets or stick with his wife is actually pretty crap in my opinion. He should’ve stuck with his wife if he had any common sense, but that sweet bitter taste of being behind the wheel and going at 300km/h is not something you can shake off.

Impressions

Though with Kitami playing a bit more of a major role, his influence is also quite high on Kouichi. I’m also surprised at the fact that Kitami is also doing some tuning jobs to get money. What he wants the money for is a little unclear at this stage but it may go towards repairing the Devil Z. Of course Kitami isn’t the only influence, but I think his co-worker Harada had a play in it as well. Now that Kouichi has bought himself a Nissan Skyline BNR 32, I wonder if he’ll end up racing Harada or other people like Tatsuya or Reina. Speaking of Reina, I think Akio is a lucky bastard for knowing as pretty as Reina and who share the same interest in cars and racing on the Wangan. If only I knew more girls like that, lol.

Moving along, now Kouichi has his R32, he is already looking at modifying the exhaust from a good friend of his and I wonder how much of a monster he can turn it into. I can guess that Kouichi will also battle the Devil Z sometime in the future as Akio has seen the Devil Z, and the Devil Z responded to his presence. The Devil Z truly is something out of this world and it definitely has chosen Akio as it’s driver. But with the Devil Z in such a wreck, I wonder how much extensive work is going to be done to get it all fixed. But it certainly looks like there will be some awesome battles ahead.
