ARIA The Origination - 03

There are times when I watch an ARIA episode where nothing really happens at all, or I’m not really following the underlying plot that is showing for that particular episode. With this episode, it’s a perfect example. Compared to other episodes where there is at least some kind of catalyst to make Akari explore the many wonders of Neo-Venezia, the only one we had this entire episode would be her encounter with Anri, the pastierre. But that isn’t to say that this wasn’t an enjoyable episode, but there were other things to marvel at in this episode.

Impressions

If there is one thing I notice in the past ARIA seasons is that a lot of the lovely scenary that we see are mainly situated outdoors. As splendid to the eyes as they are, there is always one thing I’ve always taken a fancy to, and that is seeing the interior of some of the buildings we see around Neo-Venezia. Thankfully my wish has been granted and we take a glimpse into what it is like at the inner world that is Neo-Venezia. Seeing the girls sit inside such a vibrant and artful decor whilst drinking coffee is something that most people can only dream of. Well for me I hope to do something like that in a few years, lol.

Anyway, I’m usually not too picky on a series like ARIA, but what kind of pastierre sells chocolates to kids in glass bottles? But still, the ARIA moments are still there with Akari finding another wondrous piece of Neo-Venezia, the whole Aika and Alice sniping at each other with the “kouhai-chan” and “Aika-sempai”, as well as the usual antics of Aria-shachou. Next episode appears to from an actual chapter of the manga and this is actually one of my favourite ones, so I look forward to it.
