Opening Sequence 2:

OP2: “Shichiten Hakki*Shijō Shugi” by KOTOKO

Still the same OP theme, but there has been some small changes to the OP sequence like showing the true forms of the Superintendant and Shion, but as well as include Himegami. A shame really as I was kind of hoping for a new OP, but tgis one is still good.

Impressions

So we start off the last cour with the New Year’s chapter from WAY back at the start of the manga. Kind of befitting since this aired just after New Year’s. Of course Hayate never ceases to amaze me with the skills he has on a bicycle, but this episode took that to another level with him racing against a car, with a carriage attached to the back of the bicycle. When I first saw the car approaching, my first thoughts were Night Rider! But the best part was when Hayate used the gutter trick from Initial D, and really, I couldn’t stop laughing when I saw that part.

Eventually arriving at the beach, Maria is there to the rescue for Hayate. But despite Nagi’s perseverance to goto the beach, she still ended up falling asleep. Still, a sleeping Nagi is cute. So pretty much not much happened in the first half, but the second half was more enjoyable to watch. When I first read this chapter of the manga, I found it pretty hilarious when it was Sakuya who made it look like Hayate was going through a blizzard. Well plenty of cute moments for Sakuya this episode especially when she wanted Hayate to see her as not a little girl. Although she is the oldest out of her Nagi and Isumi, I still consider her to be a brattish girl like Nagi, but she’s more of a comedian than a brat.

The start of this final cour seems to be on a slow start, which is kind of expected, but I do hope that when we reach a few episodes in we’ll starting seeing some more epic episodes like we have for the past few episodes. I’m still hoping we’ll see a scene where Hayate fights against Himegami, heck, the series might even finish off on that point. For the time being, seems that the anime is using manga material still which is a good thing, so I look forward to the next few episodes. Oh and for a New year’s episode, I’m kind of disappointed where we didn’t get to see all the girls in kimono’s. Would’ve loved to see Hinagiku in a kimono.

Ending Sequence 4:

ED4: “Ki no Me Kaze” by IKU

So a new ED theme and new ED sequence for a new cour. Strangely I like these kind of sequences and music as it’s a mellowish kind of theme. Though it’s only recently that I started to like the 3rd ED theme, but this 4th one probably won’t take as long.
