Ah the training camp episode, a must in any sport related animes. We see a great deal of bonding going on here between the two kendo clubs and it goes to show that you don’t need to go to the mountains to train. But for some reason I didn’t find this episode containing that many funny moments which is kind of disappointing, though that doesn’t mean the episode wasn’t enjoyable. Besides, this episode is more about bonding than anything else, from the cleaning to the pool, the kendo training, and even going to the bathhouse together. Though I was rather surprised they didn’t show us any fanservice shots of the girls in the bathhouse.

Impressions
Tamaki’s father is such a worrywart, so much that he sneaks into the school to check up on her. But Tamaki with her awesome developed kendo skills have earned her the ability to sense the auras of others. Kind of wished I had that “spider sense is tingling” ability, lol. Though the best part was Tamaki warning her father not to touch her DVD recorder as it has been set to record her must watch animes. Seeing Tamaki with a serious face for her animes is totally different to the kendo one and I reckon it would either be pretty funny or quite scary seeing Tamaki angry if she found out her animes didn’t get recorded. Also, what a way to start the morning by watching a sentai anime to ignite your burning passion!
Kirino’s statement of Tamaki making a difference is so true. Everyone needs that one person that they aspire to be like or defeat so that it will make them stronger. With Tamaki being the strongest of them all, will she eventually meet her match? Perhaps she will once the tournament gets under way but it appears the tournament episode are still a ways away. Next episode is focused on Kirino since her mother has collapsed, probably from exhaustion, so we’ll get to see Kirino run the family shop.
