H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ - 02

In the end I’ve decided to pick up H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ as a show to blog for this Winter season. Though I myself am not entirely sure as the show is pretty average and doesn’t appear to be very good from the look of things, but I tend to like crap shows like this for some strange reason. Also this time around I’m gradually trying to move to a different style of screen capping where I try to limit it to a certain amount compared to the usual 30-36, plus I’m hoping to change my writing style, if that’s possible at all since my writing is pretty crap as it is.

Impressions

Firstly, WTF! Now in the first episode, the animation didn’t look very consistent in parts, but in this episode, it was somehow kind of painful to see it even more so. Really, with the series being produced by ZEXCS, I expected better than what we see here, and seeing from their line up of shows that they produced, this is their lowest. With the show already into the 2nd episode, I don’t see the quality getting any better than this. That is unless ZEXCS pull something out of their sleeve, but I highly doubt that.

Last episode was titled Takuma, and this episode Hayami. I’m guessing that each of the titles for the episode will be named after a particular character and will focus on them. So the focus was on Hayami this time around, but there is still the mystery that surrounds her and why the whole town seems to hate her. So far it seems to be a very strong reason if Hayami wants to keep Takuma out of it, but we already see clues that Hinata is somewhat involved and some kind of fire occurred in the past. So really, the most interesting character is still Hayami, and of course she stands at the top so far. Her strong will and tsuntsun sideis what makes her so unique compared to the rest, but when she warms up to Takuma, she is totally different. Plus hoorah for Hayami showing some skin and such a cute eyecatch, but I bet Takuma wished he was still blind when Hayami tied him up.

Takuma’s sudden gain of eyesight is the biggest WTF of this episode. First day at school, blind as a bat. Next day he can see the light of day, yet none of the characters seem to have taken notice that he can now see. However this does clarifies the fact that Otoha is definitely not human as she once again disappeared, when the other girls came by, but she gave Takuma his eyesight. So it wouldn’t surprise me if her gift to Takuma also made others forget that he is blind. Still I was hoping for the whole walking stick to bring about more “accidental” maneuvers.

So the story is kind of moving at a fast pace now that Takuma can see clearly. I only hope we don’t move too fast otherwise we’ll be seeing some filler episode towards the middle of the series. Personally I do see some potential in H20, but only time will tell if that’s the case.

Yeah I’m not sure if this show will end up being good or bad. All I know is Hayami is moe, so I will keep watching =P. Her softening is especially charming because of her tsundere nature. Stop bullying her @_@! I laughed at the eyecatch XD.

I think Hayami wants to keep Takuma out of it, because she doesn’t want him to be bullied as well.

Hey a random question - have you thought about buying a Matsuri (Sola) figurine?

Oh I already have a Matsuri figure, it’s just sitting on the pile like the rest of the figures.

PILE???? PILE???!!!! There should not be a pile of figures!! They should be arranged nicely!! lol

Anyways, just finished watching the 2nd episode, just gonna start on the 3rd in a mo. I have to say I’m really enjoying it so far. My tradition is to pick one series from the new selection of anime and stick with it all the way through, since I don’t have time to watch loads of series. I can’t wait to find out why they call poor Hayami-chan a roach. It’s so cruel…..
