With the recent build up from the Butler Battles, I was hoping that it would come to some kind of awesome development for Hayate no Gotoku, and form this episode, it seems that we’re in for a treat. Well I’m hoping so. Anyway it has been a year since Nagi and Hayate first met, but there appears to be more than meets the eye with many hidden factors still yet to be revealed. Mikado’s reappearance and hounding of Hayate is no different, but I get the sense that he wants to make something of of Hayate, and I’m rather surprised we haven’t seen the pendant for a number of episodes.

Impressions
So I was right after all. The mysterious person really is Himegami, yet he still remains a mystery as his face is covered with a mask, but also his voice is different. But with a name like Himegami Akane, doesn’t that make him a she? Though Himegami’s reappearance in front of Nagi does raise many questions, as well as why he knows Hayate has lost his butler powers (would’ve ever thought there was such a thing?). Obviously he has something to do with the Butler Battles and I do hope that we get to see the two do battle.
Oh and it’s Christmas Eve and it’s Maria’s birthday! I thought they would do another episode surrounding her birthday, but since it’s also the same day since Hayate and Nagi met, I kind of figured they’d go the later path. Also seeing Ayumu in a Santa suit is awesomely moé. I like girls who dress up like that. Anyway, the preview was saying that this is the second part of the final episode, but it’s only for this cour. Let’s just hope they end this cour off with a bang!
