With so many panty flashing in this first episode, it reminds me one one series, High School Girls, and god I hate that show. However with Rosario to Vampire it’s a little more bearable compared to High School Girl where there is at least some kind of story line. But really, the one thing that would have me hooked to this series is Moka herself. She’s cute, she has long pink hair, and when she transforms into her true form, she gains an extra cup size for her breasts. Your perfect magical girlfriend, except she likes to drink your blood.

Impressions
Animation for this first episode was pretty solid, and given that there will be quite a lot of monster scenes later down the track, I can see the quality remaining consist, well hopefully, this is Gonzo we’re talking about here. The premise of the story is Tsukune attends a high school for monsters, but he must keep his identity as a human a secret, otherwise he’ll be killed. I don’t find it anything new since we had Seto no Hanayome where San had to keep her mermaid identity secret, but at least Seto no Hanayome was downright hilarious (even though I stopped blogging at ep 10). Rosaria to Vampire on the other hand so far I can’t see the same level of humour as Seto no Hanayome, but this is only the first episode, so we may see some just yet.
As the series is, I’d find it pretty hard to keep me interested in actually wanting to blog about it, but since I do like crap shows like this, I will continue watching it. Though the reason so far would only be because of Moka, and the fact she is voiced by Mizuki Nana. Usually I have a high enough tolerance for fanservice, but if this reaches the level of High School Girls, I’m out of here.

OP: “COSMIC LOVE” by Mizuki Nana
So they decided to show the OP at the end of the series. Well Mizuki Nana performs the opening theme but I don’t really seem to enjoy it very much. The OP sequence itself is a little confusing as is shows bits and pieces of the episode, but also what appears to be the next episode. Well I’ll guess I’ll find out if it changes in the next episode.

Yeah Moka is very cute =) but the fanservice is a bit excessive.
I see I’m not the only one that was thinking “wow…” when Moka first made her appearance. At the moment, she seems like a bit of an airhead, but I don’t think I’d hold that against her. It’s disappointing that the show really overdoes it with the fanservice. Kaze no Stigma had the same problem. On a tangential note, am I the only one that thinks that Vampire Moka looks like teenage Maya Natsume from Tenjo Tenge?
Excuse me for nitpicking, but it’s Rosario Vampire, not Rosaria. “Rosario” is the Italian word for “rosary”. Why the creators arbitrarily combined English, Japanese, and Italian in the show’s title is beyond me… I’ll just be referring to it as Vampire’s Rosary for the sake of convenience (^_^).
Bah… for some reason, the “plus” got cut out. “Rosario & Vampire”…
Ah, thanks for the heads up on the spelling mistake. Blogging in intense heat can do weird things to the brain.
Looks pretty good. Mizuki Nana’s evil voice is awesome. Can’t wait for Tsukune’s two transformations.
