H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ - 04

There’s always something about a trap character in a harem based kind of series that makes them that much more special. However with this episode being the focus being on Hamaji, it does very little into bringing us that little something that makes the trap one step above the rest. I’m not exactly sure why they decided to go for a Hamaji episode, but it at least allows for some kind of character introduction since most of the girls, besides Hinata and Hayami who are the main girls. Still it brings little to the character at that and I think we could see the same with some of the other girls.

ARIA The Origination - 03

There are times when I watch an ARIA episode where nothing really happens at all, or I’m not really following the underlying plot that is showing for that particular episode. With this episode, it’s a perfect example. Compared to other episodes where there is at least some kind of catalyst to make Akari explore the many wonders of Neo-Venezia, the only one we had this entire episode would be her encounter with Anri, the pastierre. But that isn’t to say that this wasn’t an enjoyable episode, but there were other things to marvel at in this episode.

Hayate no Gotoku! - 41

You know that any episode with Hinagiku in it just makes it all the more awesome, but when it comes to the Katsura sisters, it makes it more so. I actually didn’t expect to see an episode focused on the Katsura sisters this late in the series, but probably for the best as I can imagine the last few episodes will be used to wrap up the series. Anyway, I’ve usually viewed Yukiji as more of a side character, but a more annoying one at that, but after this episode, I’ve come to slightly like her a bit more.

Bamboo Blade - 16

The first half of this episode covers much Kirino love but as well as how close Saya is with Kirino, goes to show that close friends really know each other well. I was kind of hoping for something a bit more serious or slice of life with Kirino finding out her mother collapsed last episode, but it appears not to be anything too serious which is good in a way so it doesn’t detour from the current pacing. It was also pretty funny seeing Kirino’s mother being all energetic despite being sick, and we can see where Kirino gets her vigour from.

Clannad - 14 (this week, a scenary photography doujin)

A bit behind in the anime watching due to some things happening at work that required my full attention but hooray for long weekend! Continuing on from last episode, Tomoya still continues to do the garden work with the help of Nagisa, Kyou and Ryou. I like how they’ve all become so close at the start of the series, and now Kotomi is a part of that close circle of friends. Anyway this episode is focused on Tomoya and Kotomi’s past when they were kids and it answers a lot of questions of what happened in the past. I always find it strange how the main harem leads tend to remember everything in their dreams, the same thing happened with Yuuichi in Kanon.

Figure Review: Shinku inviting you for tea

Now this was a figure I was really looking forward to in 2007. The moment that this figured arrived, I actually opened the box up just to see just how awesome it looked compared to the promo pictures available, and my word was it a beauty. Definitely a figure long overdue for a photo shoot, but I wanted to do this one right. But alas for this kind of figure, it’s a little hard to take outside without the risk of damaging it in anyway, thus an indoor shoot was done. So this time around, it’s Alter’s Shinku from Rozen Maiden. Hit the jump to check out the rest of the photos.

H20 ~Footprints in the Sand~ - 03

Well this was certainly a change in pace and character. Hinata has decided to make her move onto Takuma in anyway possible in hopes to keep him away from Hayami. It definitely didn’t seem like something that Hinata would do, but it appears that she has her reasons for doing so and it’s most likely to do with her family and Takuma being the “Destined One”. But I would like to think that Hinata is also doing this on her own accord and if she does harbour some feelings for Takuma, I can see her turning into the yandere type. In the mean time she has the lead now that she has kissed Takuma in front of Hayami.
