Hayate no Gotoku! - 31

For the past 30 episodes I haven’t been much of a Sakuya fan, but even after this episode, I’m still not. However I do have a greater appreciation of her as a character. This entire episode brings Sakuya into another light where before, she was seen as comedian, but this episode we see her as the mature one, and indeed the “onee-san” type. And she proves this by showing Nagi that she knows how to handle the two kids, where Nagi is simply trying to get them to do the same things she does.

Bamboo Blade - 11

With a series like Bamboo Blade, I never thought that they could fit a lot of development of the characters in one episode, but they proved me wrong especially with this episode, yet they still managed to keep the story going. But I have to say, the first 2 minutes of this episode was pure love. Kirino and her various thinking poses were just awesome and has made me more of a Kirino fan. Plus I love how she has a sunflower printed umbrella as Kirino is such a bright character. Although I found it rather amusing how they decided to show off some fanservice shots with Kirino and Sayako by focusing on their breasts.

Bamboo Blade - 10

Well this was rather interesting, a new character is introduced, yet she isn’t the 5th member of the kendo club, but in fact, she is somehow related to Miyako. Odajimi Reimi, she’s definitely cute, but underneath that cute exterior is probably something much more than what I can expect, and it seems that she gave Miyako a lot of grief in their middle school days. Perhaps she is also the reason why Miyako has her black side to her personality, but I guess we’ll find out later in the series, or perhaps in the next episode.

Jumbo Grade Zeta Gundam

Having a close circle of otaku friends has it’s benefits, and it’s disadvantages. Benefits such as being able to trade anime, discuss about anime, or even notify each other of the various merchandise items that are going to be released. My dearest Roobar is a prime example of such a good otaku friend as he is always 10 steps ahead of me in everything anime and figure related. I usually welcome the news that he brings me, however, last night was something that really got my BURNING PASSION going. So what is it that he showed me that made me go O…M…F….G?? Was it a artbook? No. Was it a very moé figure? Not even close. What he showed me was this:

Figure Gallery: Iriya Kana, another purple haired beauty

As promised, I’m starting to work through the figures that have piled up over the past few months, and to kick off this series of figure posts is one that I’ve wanted for quite a while, and only managed to get her way back in October during Animania. For those who don’t know, I have this BURNING MOÉ PASSION (does that even make sense?) for girls with long purple hair. The moment I saw her for sale, it was an instant buy. So joining into my small collection of purple haired beauties is none other than Iriya Kana from Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. Hit the jump to check out the rest of the photos.

Merry Christmas for 2007 and my much needed holidays

It has just been over 6 months since I started my job, but after a long and arduous 2 weeks of overtime, I’m finally on my two weeks of holidays, meaning much rest and relaxation, but also a time to catch up on the things I have neglected over the past few months. That includes catching up to the latest episodes for this season, the backlog of figures to photograph, the backlog of merchandise to actually look at, catching up with friends who I have not seen in ages and much much more. So far I have a few things planned out, but there are some things which I’ll have to get to work on such as the Winter Season preview, my Top Anime of 2007 list, and my merchandise financial report, so do look forward to those sometime before the New Year, hopefully.

Of course my holidays from work are only for two weeks. Originally I had planned to goto Japan with a friend of mine, but she got caught up with work commitments. I had also thought of visiting Singapore during my holidays to visit Windbell and some of the other Singapore anime bloggers, but that also never occurred. Plus my gold is best put forward to a MUCH GRANDER expedition, and that is to Japan for a month next year. And this time, I’m going with a pot of gold to make sure I have no regrets for this trip!

Don’t you wish you could spend Christmas with these three lovely ladies

So with it being Christmas now, and New Year’s is just around the corner, I’ll certainly be a busy bee over my holidays. I also plan to do a figure photo shoot at least once every two days in an effort to clear the backlog, but also means I’m not stuck at home all the time. But moving along, I wish all my readers a Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy your time spent with family, friends, loved ones, or even your pet dog or cat. Although if you are reading this, you’re probably alone sitting in front of the computer, just like me, lol.

ef - a tale of memories - 09

With the sudden breakdown of Chihiro last episode, I was certainly surprised at her speedy recovery throughout this episode. She seemed to go from the hysterical girl 4 years ago and throwing her diary at Renji, to somehow falling in love with him again in what seems to be the span of a day. Is that what Chihiro does every single day when she wakes up? I find it rather hard to believe how she can somehow remain the same type of character that she is if she went from being confused and frustrated to being the calm and cheerful girl that we have seen in the earlier episodes. I can only imagine how much she actually has to read in her diary just to remember all the things from a certain point of time to now.
