Sketchbook has a running theme about friendship, either in the human world, or in the cat world, but this episode hits it nail right on the head. Sora ended up catching a cold had to stay home to rest. Throughout the day she was bored and feeling rather lonely, but by the end of the day, her friends came by to see how she was. Although it’s a recurring thing that you see in most anime, but it feels that Sketchbook makes that kind of thing more special and much more appreciated. Everyone had brought gifts in hope for Sora to get better, and with these gifts, Sora knows that she isn’t alone and is happy with everyone’s feelings. Even Ryo and Fuu came by to drop off a gift.

Impressions
Each of the gifts that Sora received were very thoughtful, and each represents the person that it came from, such as the egg from Kasugano-sensei, the tape from Juju, and the puppet from Natsumi. Kate’s gift of the “Hige no Hito” I thought was rather funny, but more so because Sora, Natsumi, and Hazuki could see the kanji “tani” which means valley. Ao I must say is a very dependable little brother, where normally it should be the other way around. I agree with Ao that Sora and her group of friends are qeird with their little quirks, but they are nice people.
After episode 5, I was hoping that we would get to see another Neko Neko day, and that prayer has been answered. This was just as awesome as the first one as we get to see more antics from the cats, especially from Kuma. Right from the start of where Sora gives them the expired fish, I was thinking that the cats would have the same image of Sora as back in episode 5, but I think they have gotten used to Sora giving them bad food. However in this case it was a little more extreme. Haa-san’s mimicking of humans was funny as well as it reminds me of Australia’s Funniest Home videos where they do the exact same thing of where they do voice overs for a particular scene. But the one thing that made this episode great was the ritual dance. Secretly I bet cats can do such things like that, we just never see them do it, lol.
But over all, the episode ends well with Sora getting better, and now she knows that she shouldn’t give the cats bad food. Although I still think she’ll still continue to do it and not realise. Next episode, the girls go shopping and Kate seems to meet a stranger in the art supply shop.
