Moé Moé Rabu

Wow, has there ever been an episode where it was entirely focused on the Hirono x Miyako x Kei side of things? Probably not but this episode was superb in a way that actually wrapped everything up pretty quickly. They were able to wrap up Hirono’s relationship between him and Kei by wanting to go back to a time of when they were enjoying themselves, but also made it concrete that Hirono has chosen Miyako to stay by his side. Although that was pretty obvious since he did end up sleeping with her. Heck they even managed to wrap up Hirono’s choice about his future.

Impressions

The countdown scene I was really too impressed as watching this subbed, it is kind of distracting when it constantly flickers between scene and counter. Not to mention that it was obvious that they would get cut off at an important moment, but Hirono made a miracle by going around and actually finding Miyako. However I did like the build up towards the end of the phone conversation and with the background music playing along, you could really feel the angst amongst the two. I also like how Yuuko can suddenly appear in the places when the characters need to talk to someone. It does seem that she has experienced a similar situation by telling Hirono that despite what he does, he will end up throwing one relationship away, else end up losing both. But it does make me wonder what Yuuko said about Miyako is just like Yuuko herself. Still, her role in this entire series still isn’t very clear so I’m hoping they show something in the last two episodes.

So pretty much I would say that concludes the Hirono x Miyako x Kei part of the story, and the last two episodes will more than likely focus entirely on Renji and Chihiro. Although Hirono has chosen Miyako, I wonder if this is a chance for Kyousuke to make a move on Kei and that we see some sort of development between the two. Still, that all depends on how the Renji and Chihiro side of things play out, and I’m rather interested in how that will wrap up.
