As I thought, more and more people are starting to forget about Fuko, and I can guess that her disappearance will be coming soon. But with more people forgetting about Fuko, I do wonder if they have forgotten about Kouko’s wedding since the starfish sculpture was a representation of an invitation. However there does appear to be the lingering feeling in people who were close to Fuko, and I found that to be very touching, especially for Youhei and Sanae.

Impressions
Youhei’s character had definitely changed quite a bit in this episode and in such a serious way, where as of the past episodes, we saw him as the joke character. The fact that he went out of his way to research about Fuko is something I didn’t expect of Youhei, but his struggle to remember Fuko I thought was quite dramatic and it brings him into a new light that he is indeed a kind person, just like Tomoya. I guess this could be similar where Jun helped out Yuuichi in Kanon, but I hope that this won’t be a one off thing for Youhei as he is a major part of the cast.
Sanae’s breakdown of not being able to see Fuko was definitely heart breaking. Not being able to see her, yet she still remembers her shows how much Sanae had cared for Fuko. Saying that she can stay whenever she wants because they are like family is what Clannad is about, being a family, and I would even bet that Sanae had thought of Fuko as her own daughter. Akio as well shares the same pain as Sanae, but the fact that he doesn’t show his true feelings shows just how much in pain he is about forgetting Fuko. But now with Akio and Sanae forgetting about Fuko very soon, it’ll only be a matter of time before Nagisa and Tomoya will forget about her.
We also see some development between Nagisa and Tomoya, but from Fuko’s point of view. The point where Nagisa and Tomoya standing in front of the fountain, and Fuko looking at the two of them, I wonder what they are like in Fuko’s eyes? Does she consider them to be almost like her parents? Or does she think that Tomoya and Nagisa are suited for each other? Perhaps Fuko will say something before she disappears but we can only hope. Next episode seems to be the end of the Fuko arc. So far I don’t think Fuko’s arc to be heart wrenching just yet. A little sad how people are forgetting her, but I only hope they can pull something off that’ll make me cry just like Makoto’s arc in Kanon.
