Despite being a number of episodes behind in Hayate no Gotoku, I can honestly say that this was the MOST blandest episode to date (well of what I have watched so far). They somehow used a very generic storyline and made it quite unextraordinary and overall not even that funny. It was at the point of when Nagi proclaims herself to be a detective, I knew it was going to go downhill from there. But going downhill isn’t too surprising, since everyone is acting out a script that Nagi wrote herself.

Impressions
Of course with such a sucky script written by Nagi, not only do theother characters play along and suffer, we suffer as well just by watching how the script progresses. Hayate no Gotoku is usually a series that takes something already done, but add that twist to it and make it more enjoyable. Though with this series slated for 52 episodes, I’m guessing we’ve reached a low point in the series were the jokes start becoming more lame, the story keeps deviating away from the main story, whatever that may be. I’m not too sure how much the anime is following the manga right now, but it certainly isn’t looking too good for the next few episodes.
This week’s Butler Battle was also very weak. Obviously this was a BeyBlade reference, but this time around, I think the censorship ruined the joke for it, especially since this was rather short. I can only hope that the next Butler Battles are longer, and much more entertaining than this. But really, there isn’t much more to say on this as it was THAT bland.
