Finally things have started to turn more serious in Clannad, but really, this is only a preview for something much more deeper to come.It doesn’t surprise me that Kouko can’t see Fuko, as the story would end just there, but it does show fact that Fuko is indeed a spiritual being. Still, Fuko is indeed quite a character, being all childish, but very cute at the same time. I found it pretty funny how she also has such a huge fan club right now. However we did get to see some great Fuko development, especially her past.

Impressions
I found Fuko’s past to be quite interesting, but somewhat ironic how she gathered the bravery to try and make friends, only to end up in an accident, making it all seem like for nothing. However it is admirable that she gathered such courage, and even made an attempt to make friends before her accident as she wanted to break away from hiding behind her sister’s back and take that one step forward. And right now, even though she is in spiritual form, she tries hard to get people to attend Kouko’s wedding, but also making friends along the way. But still, her fascination of starfish is somewhat scary, but that’s what also makes her cute.
Despite the small build up to the serious overtone, we do get the occasional humour such as Tomoya and Fuko tongue twister stand off, Nagisa and Fuko having a their small quarrel, to Tomoya achieving Fuko Master status. Now I finally understand what Fuko Master is. But now we progressing more into Fuko’s story and it appears that there people who can’t see Fuko, and I can only speculate that there will be more. Damn it sucks to be behind in my watchings.
