Once again, Hayate no Gotoku has taken another detour from the main storyline, but at least this episod, Saki is the focus. Some reason I tend to like the minor characters like Saki as I guess you could say that she is more normal than the rest. Anyway we get some nice Saki development in this episode and it does show some sign that she does care for Wataru more than just being his maid. It’s probably why she is so defensive about being touched by a male other than Wataru, other than the whole reason of not being able to marry.

Impressions
It was also nice to see Wataru all worked up about Saki going through a marriage meeting, and Hayate’s misinterpretation just added fuel to the fire. But still, it does give some character development on Wataru and it does raise the question whether he likes Isumi or Saki more. Although I don’t think we’ll ever find out the answer to that question, but we do know that Saki and Wataru’s relationship have come a bit closer together. It’s also weird seeing Kaoru turn up now, especially since we haven’t seen him since Hayate first met Yukiji, but more surprising that he likes Yukiji. I can see that he’d be having a tough time not trying to win her over, but more like making her calm down.
Seeing how last episode shows the start of a Butler Battle and a evil organisation, guess we’ll be seeing one battle each episode until we get to something more bigger in terms of story. The whole Yugioh style battle was pretty hilarious, so I’m expecting to see many other parody battles, but I’m also hoping they turn out just as awesome as the Butler Battle tournament in the last few episodes. Next episodes appears to be another one off thing, but hell, any Mari fanservice is more than welcome.
