Moé Moé Rabu

Continuing on from the last episode, we get to see Kenzaburo and Tamaki fight it out, and as expected, it was an awesome fight. It’s good to see that Tamaki can stand her ground against a well experienced kendo fighter but can also push back. But I think the amount of skill that she has is quite amazing itself, such as striking with only one hand. I didn’t know you could strike your opponent one handed in kendo, but then I know nothing about the sport either. Still, her consistency to strike one handed was awesome in which she only leveled up the attack power of the same technique, so I’m sure Tamaki has many more moves up her sleeves.

Impressions

Whilst in the fight, we do get some character development when Kenzaburo did the jodan stance, in which we get to see Tamaki’s mother. Obviously Tamaki’s mother would’ve played a big role in her childhood so it brings up some interest about Tamaki’s mother and it could lead to how Tamaki got into learning kendo as I think there is a more deeper reason than Tamaki being an ally of justice. Oh I found it pretty funny how Ishida gave Tamaki a VHD, simply because you can tell the HUGE age difference and how Tamaki thought she could fit it in her DVD player.

The second half of the episode becomes more of a bonding session and it’s good to see the girls become friends over croquettes. Damn, now I feel like some. But the laughs continue with Ishida and Kenzaburo going out for convey belt sushi, but we also find out that Kenzaburo had planned to have Ishida’s team fight both his teams. So we still have some story left, but so far with this series, there isn’t much of a solid storyline going on, such as entering a tournament or such.

At the end of the episode, we get to see a bit of each girl’s life, even though for a brief moment, but a surprising one was Miyako’s sister making an appearance, and her offer to cook dinner. Plus she’s just as pretty as Miyako herself. Sayako sleeping away, whilst crushing her brother’s DS, not to mention the awesome shirt, and Kirino being the club president by making training menus. Well next episode seems to take a slight detour from the kendo side of things and we get to see Tamaki working at a part-time job.
